"Amazing"! That is the apt expression for the 6 weeks that Amy and Luciano spent with and with us. There was a lot of work for all of us and we got great support from both of us. Originally it was planned to help with the gardening and to help plan the wall of the house. With the help of Amy and Luciano we have made much more progress in this

In addition, all the paths around the house (high-pressure cleaner) are almost like new, lots of firewood has been sawn and stacked, the flyer layout for an upcoming concert and cleaning work in the house. Making music, ways to relax from the demands of everyday life, delicious meals that the two prepare, help with computer problems and thus enrich everyday life. A lively exchange of conversations on a cultural and human level was anchored in daily, open dealings with one another. Amy and Luciano showed great interest in the region and what's special about the area and were also included and welcomed in the broader family sense. The time together left just as much room for individuality and independent activities. We can 100% recommend Amy and Luciano as pleasant, very helpful, considerate, trustworthy and warm workawayers.

We spent about 6 weeks with Ingrid and Johannes and we are at a loss for words to describe how wonderful this experience was! The warmth, respect, and generosity of these hosts are truly admirable. They are flexible, well-organized, and create an environment where volunteers feel completely at ease managing their tasks and time.
Our main tasks
… read more involved working in the garden and assisting with the painting and treatment of wood for Johannes' personal project on thermal insulation – a venture that was both fun and rewarding. We also learned how to cut raw wood for winter storage. Always attentive, they took us to various activities in the Westerwald region and shared many aspects of German culture, including daily routines, folk music, food, and local history. The shared lunches and afternoons filled with Brazilian, German, and instrumental music were unforgettable.
It's impossible to convey all the wonderful moments we had, the people they introduced us to, the emotions we experienced, and how much these encounters enriched our journey. We'll leave it up to you to discover for yourselves! Workawayers who have the privilege of volunteering with them will not regret becoming part of the beautiful and musical Mayr family.
