Description
My husband and I live on a waterfront rural property on the mainland in the Whitsundays. We enjoy an active lifestyle with boating and beach activities. We need some help with maintenance on our property and on our boat. We are an American couple who arrived in Australia 30 years ago after sailing over from Boston.

Applicants will enjoy an off-grid experience, living off solar and rainwater, with a 5-minute walk to the beach. We enjoy boating, fishing, and water activities, and would welcome our guests to join us. The Great Barrier Reef is on our doorstep, as well as the 74 Whitsundays Islands which we visit regularly.
Aide
Experience maintaining boats and/or rural property, such as general property upkeep, is necessary. Being familiar with tools, house-cleaning is beneficial. This position would suit someone who has farm work experience. We would like to ask for assistance with the boat, such as cleaning, painting, sanding, so applicants are ideally comfortable on the water.

Travellers will be provided with an independent, free-standing accommodation, a one-bedroom cabin with kitchen and bathroom. This is a 5-minute walk to the main house where meals will be available.

We live a 40-minute drive from the nearest town centre (Airlie Beach), so your own car is preferable. Please note that there is no public transport. Living on the water means easy access to swimming and fishing. Close by is a beach bar/resort that welcomes day use.
