Description
We are a family with twins, a girl and a boy, 12 years old, and a cat, at our first experience in the workaway
After travelling for 10 years, looking for a good place to raise our children, we decided to stop in Tuscany, and now live in a farmhouse amidst olive trees, in the middle between Florence, Arezzo and Siena.
Elena is involved in Steinerian Pedagogy, organises educational workshops for children, and took care of our children's education.
Matteo works in energy production, while Adele and Nicolò divide their time between school, Boy Scouts, friends and nature.
We are passionate about reading, board games, hiking and walking.
In our house you will find no television, but lots of books and a good internet connection if you need it.
We are lovers of good company, and our terrace is a meeting point for our friends, for dinners, aperitifs and happy evenings.
In exchange for 4 hours of help a day, 5 days a week, in our private house, we offer free accommodation, an apartment with a large room and bathroom, and a camper van.
As for meals, we enjoy eating together, teaching you our cuisine and learning yours.
The apartment currently has no kitchen, this is one of the work to do, while the campervan does.
The bathroom is shared between the room and the camper van.
We are looking for people willing to help with the general upkeep of our private house. It is very old and needs various renovation and refurbishment works, in order to become the paradise we have set ourselves for our children.
We speak Italian fluently, and English at a beginner's level
Friends, individuals and family are welcome, but the Castagna cat does not get along with dogs.
We do not smoke and do not like you to smoke inside, while outside you are free to do so.
We look forward to this new experience, hoping to gain not only help but also new friendships, cultural and linguistic exchanges.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

We face this new experience with joy, hoping to gain, in addition to help, new friendships, cultural and language exchanges.
Here you can exchange skills in pedagogy, masonry, pruning and olive harvesting, cooking, carpentry, green management and much more.
If you want to practise or learn a new skill there is ample opportunity, teaching us what you know and learning from us what we know.
Here you learn by doing, living in the mountains requires eclecticism.Projets impliquant des enfants

What a beautiful person!
The first guest on this adventure, and I think we could not have found a better one.
An exquisite person, kind, witty and hard-working, as well as a great eater.
He quickly became part of the family, to the point of becoming part of it, and it was a real break-up when he left us, to continue his wanderings.
