Description
Our family contains mother, father, three childrens, born in - 05, - 06 and - 17. Our older doughter have already moved out for study but she is home during the weekends. Our son is studing close by and is living home. Our yangest doughter is in school during the days and needs someone to be acompany on the afternoons.
We have an old farmhouse at countryside with lot of pets (four dogs, two cats,hamster, a pony, a goat and some chickens). We have a homecaring company so the parents are working daily.
We prefer at least one month stay but shorter is okay too.

We live at countryside so pure nature is very close to you. There is no neighbours so it's really peaceful. Our nearest neighbour is about 1km away. We invite the workawayer to be a part of our family and share our daily life at our home and at our cottage during the weekends. At our cottage is a traditional finnish sauna and a big lake with a sand beach. We can also show local places and attractions. We love the nature and being in it.

Aide
We need help for childcare (not that much because our doughter is in the school during the days and is wery self-imposed person, just that domeone is home when she comes from school) homecare (cleaning, cooking), pet care and some gardening. We expect a self-imposed person who gets in to tasks without us having to explain them repeatedly. Every day is different and it's never boring! You get to meet lot of people and see different kind of homes and ways to live.

We live in house with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a guestroom and a kitchen. All meals include staying. You can also come to a foodstore with us to get what you'd like to have.
We usually have two workawayers and they need to share the room.
We try to show as much as possible of Finland around us and if the workawayer wants to make some trips around Finland she is more than free to do it!

My time in Juupajoki has a special place in my heart. Satu and Janne were great hosts and gave me the chance to experience a lot of finnish culture. This place is really beautiful and taking care of the animals and the little rockstar called Suvi brought me a lot of joy. It wasn't easy to leave. 5 stars for you!

Sorry for the late feedback.
I stayed here for 2 weeks in February 2023. I played with Suvi (little daughter) , cooked, cleaned the house, helped with work, etc. It was my first workaway, but I enjoyed a lot since they were very kind to me from start to finish. I hope to see them again.

I had a wonderful 10 days at Satu's house. The scenery there is stunning, the family is loving and understanding and I never felt so relaxed and comfortable. The way I was treated makes me feel so appreciated. It's an amazing experience staying in the countryside in Finland.

Kate was quet and little bit shy but really nice girl! She did all kind of work without asking and took exellent care of Suvi! She saved us more than once by staying longer than was purpose.

I stayed one month and a half at Satu and Janne's place, they made me feel like home from day 1. I really had a pleasant stay there and would 100% recommend. The whole family was super nice and I miss Suvi already!
