Jaedon and Nicole are absolutely fantastic! We would take them back anytime and they made us incredibly happy about our decision to sign up as a host. … read more girls and especially Hazel will miss them so much. She instantly loved Nicole and requested a lot of reading and playing and she was happy to do it even if it was her time to relax. They didn't mind the tantrums which is so normal for a two year old and also how busy and crazy it gets with two tired or hungry little kids! Jaedon was fantastic with Isla and looked after her so well when I tried to do three things at the same time.
Our favourite part was the mind blowing restaurant quality meals they cooked for us. We felt so spoiled since we can rarely go out for dinner. Thank you again and for the detailed recipe you left for us!
We loved spending time with them and chatting about everything in the evening. They are both great company and at the same time didn't mind our sometimes very early bed times after a sleepless night with the kids.
Thank you so much and I wish you the absolute best for the remaining time in New Zealand.

… read more always looking out for us. Whenever the opportunity arose, Tom was always happy to bring us around the farm, allowing us to learn more about the ongoing activities. The farm is incredibly scenic, and we really loved our walks around. We shared many meals and conversations together, which we enjoyed thoroughly. The afternoons spent with Claudia and the girls were often filled with fun and laughter too! Hazel is such a ball of energy, and is very expressive and vocal for her age, and we loved our interactions with her. Baby Isla was also quite an easygoing baby, and was a joy to be with.
Overall, we really enjoyed being integrated into this farming family, and getting a glimpse of the rural lifestyle. The memories we made here on our stay will be fondly treasured, and we hope to see them again someday! Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Tom and Claudi are incredible hosts who live in an amazingly beautiful part of New Zealand. I stayed with them on 2 separate occasions for 2 months during the winter when they were busy shearing sheep and getting ready for lambing season. If you are looking for a real high-country New Zealand farm experience, I would highly recommend making the
… read more effort to go there. Even though I had no experience working with sheep, Tom is an excellent teacher, he is very patient and knowledgeable, you can learn a lot from him if you are prepared to work hard.
Claudi is a lovely person who makes you feel like part of the family as soon as you arrive. I would eat dinner with them a few times a week and the food and conversation were always fantastic. She is very knowledgeable about spinning/ weaving and making things out of their Merino wool if you are interested in that kind of thing.
I have been doing Wwoofing/workawayer stays for 20 years in many different countries and I can honestly say that this is one of the best places I have ever been.

Brian has worked for us a few years ago before we had a workaway account. He came highly recommended by family friends and we were not disappointed. He was a great help no matter what the task was and always finished the job very quickly but neatly and accurate. He enjoyed helping with the pet lambs and that year we had 29 pet lambs so it was a
… read more big job. He was gentle and paid attention to details.
His personality is great. We had amazing chats and loved to learn about his adventures and life style, but he was also happy to be on his own. We kept in touch and consider him a family friend now who is coming to visit us again soon. We can highly recommend him.Feedback
