Hello,
we are a family with two children; Julio April 11 years and 7 years .
We need some help with their for care, supervision homework, play in the playground, practice english... (whit me to!) I like know about other cultures, and thing that is importante for my children for grow up happy and with good values, have a open mind and this is a great opportunity for that.

We need a patience person, tolerance, loving, disciplined...
the work is basically help the children in the morning for going to bus stop and later in the afternoon at 16h or 17h(when their arrive to home) during 3hours stay with their for make homework and playing ... later we have a dinner (I cook for all family), usually we read a English history just before go bed at 21 or 21:30h, monday at friday, weekend is free time for you.
sometimes you can make for babysitter no more than one night per week.

You may be part of a Spanish family, a member of the family and practice Spanish.
We live in a nice house near Granada ( 8 km ) . It has a large garden with pool and very sunny and in winter have a warm chimney.
we had six experiences before and and all so good.. you can ask for their opinion. some is in recommendations.

For the correct adaptation / feeling the children and you, we need for three months or more.

Hola, somos una familia con dos niños; Julio con 11 años y abril con 7 años.
Necesitamos algo de ayuda para cuidarlos, supervisar los deberes, jugar en el parque, practicar ingles... conmigo también! me gusta conocer otras culturas y pienso que es importante para que mis hijos crezcan felices y con buenos valores, tener una mente abierta y esta es una gran oportunidad para ello.
Necesitamos a una persona paciente, tolerante, cariñosa, disciplinada...

El trabajo basicamente es ayudar a los niños por las mañanas para ir a la parada del autobús y después por las tardes entre las 16 y 17h(cuando ellos llegan a casa) durante 3horas star con ellos haciendo sus deberes y jugar... después todos juntos tomamos la cena (yo cocino para toda la familia) normalmente nosotros leemos un cuento en ingles justo antes de ir a la cama a las 21 o 21:30h, de lunes a viernes, los fines de semana son libres para ti. Alguna vez podrás hacer de babysitter no mas de una vez en semana.

Podrías formar parte de una familia Española un miembro mas de la familia y practicar Español.
Vivimos en una casa muy bonita cerca de Granada (a 8 km). Tiene un gran jardín con piscina y muy soleado y para el invierno una cálida chimenea.
Hemos tenido 6 experiencias anteriores y han sido todas tan buenas... tu podrías pedirles su opinión. algunas hay publicadas.

Por la adecuada adaptación con y para los niños necesitamos a personas que deseen estar al menos 3 meses.

The main support is with the children, but we also like to help with languages ( English ) for the whole family .

I stayed with the family for 4 months through the summer. I moved to Granada to learn Spanish and the family gave me a great base to learn and to set me on my way after my time with them. It gets extremely hot (35-40 degrees most days) during the summer, but this is something which I like, therefore I had no issue with the heat.

Monica and… read more Vicente were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home right away. I instantly felt part of the family and was able to contribute to the household. There was always food in the house and Monica was always able to cook incredible food and always happy to share her cooking methods if you are interested. Vicente is an incredibly kind person and easy to get along with. We had a great relationship, especially once I was able to speak a good level of Spanish.

The kids were mostly great with me. I built a great relationship with Julio (13) and felt I was there for him if he needed me, almost like a big brother. He is at an age where he is seeking independence so can be quite difficult to judge sometimes. Abril (9) loves to create, especially anything Unicorn based. We baked several times, drew many pictures and played in the pool. She loves gymnastics so appreciated me trying to get involved with this too. Sometimes the children could be difficult, with the odd tantrum or disagreement, not listening to and ignoring instructions or advice, and answering back. However this is expected of children of this age, developing opinions and independence. Patience is key and to be stern if necessary. They both showed incredible signs of affection towards me and both have big hearts.

Main roles include playing with the children for the afternoons, making sure they complete their homework too. Cleaning the kitchen and helping around the house in general (which should be expected as you are living in the house so should contribute to keeping it clean).

This is a great opportunity to get to know a typical Spanish household, the experience was a huge culture shock for me, very different from a typical English household, but was something that I became accustomed to.

The family were very keen to introduce me to their friends and I was able to strike good relationships with them, all being very kind and inviting me round for dinner etc. on a regular occasion. It is difficult to make many friends ages 18-30 due to living in a village quite far out of the city centre (that being where all the young people are).

The public transport into the city is very good, especially once you get hold of the bus timetable which runs through the village directly into the city. Granada itself is beautiful and surrounded by mountains with lots of opportunity to explore.

I hope to return one day to see the family, and thank them for what they have done for me. I will be forever grateful for their hospitality and helping me improve my Spanish.

Monica and vincente were great hosts and always made me feel comfortable in their lovely home!
