Description
Family Cultural Exchange Week – Come and stay with our family in Poland! 🇵🇱
We are a friendly family living in Wołów, a small town near Wrocław, Poland.
We have two children: a 9-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. We also have two lovely dogs!
We would love to welcome a family from another country, spend some time together, share our cultures and make new friends.
We would especially love to host a parent with one or two children around the same age as ours.
A little more about our family ❤️
Our daughter loves horses! Maybe we could even arrange a horse-riding lesson together during your stay?
Our son enjoys LEGO and comic books. He also speaks English quite well already.
We are a neurodivergent-friendly family. We love meeting new people, but we also value peace, quiet and personal space. Sometimes we need a little time alone to recharge, especially after a busy or noisy day.
We understand that everyone has different needs, and that's absolutely fine with us!
We are a relaxed family and we don't expect everything to be perfect. :)
Why do we want to host?
We love the idea of our children meeting people from different countries, discovering new cultures and making friends around the world.
We would also love them to practise English naturally – through games, conversations and everyday life.
And don't worry – your children don't need to speak good English!
We can communicate in simple English, use gestures, laugh at our mistakes and maybe learn some words in your language too!
This isn't an English exam. It's about having fun and getting to know each other. :)
What can we offer? 🏡
We have a separate apartment upstairs in our house, with a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
You will have your own private space, so you can relax and enjoy some quiet time whenever you want.
We offer free accommodation and meals during your stay.
We'd love to welcome you for about one week.
What is our town like?
Wołów is a small, clean and friendly town in southwest Poland.
It's not a big tourist destination, but it's a peaceful place to experience everyday life in Poland.
There are beautiful forests around our town, perfect for walks, cycling and spending time in nature.
Wrocław, a beautiful city with lots to see and do, is also nearby.
Something special – our little alternative school! 🌿
I run a small, cosy learning centre for homeschooled children.
We have a lovely group of nine children, aged 9–12. We learn together from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday.
If you come with children, they are very welcome to join our activities!
They can meet our students, play games, make new friends and experience everyday life in a small Polish alternative school.
You are also welcome to visit and see how we learn.
Of course, everything is optional. You don't need to teach or help at school. We can simply plan a visit together if you are interested.
What do we expect?
Nothing complicated! :)
We don't expect you to work for us or follow a strict schedule.
We simply hope to share some everyday moments – meals, conversations, games, walks or maybe a little trip together.
You will also have plenty of free time to relax, explore the area or enjoy time with your own family.
We respect everyone's personal space and hope you will feel comfortable in our home.
If this sounds like something your family would enjoy, we'd love to hear from you! -

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
We believe that cultural exchange happens naturally, through everyday life.
We'd love to share Polish traditions, teach you a few Polish words and show you what life in a small Polish town looks like.
In return, we'd love to learn about your culture, family traditions and way of life. Maybe we could cook something from your country together?
I'm also interested in alternative education, parenting and different ways of learning, so I'd be happy to exchange ideas and experiences.
We don't need a special programme. We believe the best experiences often happen naturally, when people simply spend time together, talk and stay curious about each other. :) -

Aide
We are mainly looking for a friendly cultural exchange with another family.
We would love to spend time together, share stories about our countries, cook together, play games and enjoy everyday family life.
Our children are 9 and 12 years old, so it would be wonderful if you came with children of a similar age.
We would love our children to practise English naturally, but your children don't need to speak English well. We would be happy to learn some of your language too!
We can share simple everyday household tasks, such as preparing meals and tidying up together.
I also run a small alternative learning centre. If you are interested, you and your children are welcome to visit, but this is completely optional. We don't expect you to teach or work at the school.
There is no strict schedule. We want this to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience for everyone! -

Polish is our native language. I'm comfortable communicating in English, and my husband is very fluent. Our 12-year-old son speaks English quite well, and our 9-year-old daughter already understands a lot. -
Hébergement
We offer a cosy, separate apartment on the top floor of our family home.
The apartment has a private bathroom with a shower, a living room, a bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen.
You will have your own private space to relax and feel at home.
We also provide meals during your stay. We'd be happy to cook and eat together, but you can also enjoy your own space whenever you like. 😊 -
Autres infos...
Wołów is a peaceful town, perfect for slowing down, relaxing and recharging your batteries. :)
In your free time, I recommend walks in the beautiful nearby forests, visiting local restaurants and spending time with children at playgrounds.
We'd also be happy to lend you bicycles so you can explore the area!
If you feel like a city trip, Wrocław is a wonderful place to visit! It's about an hour away and you can easily get there by train. I'll be happy to help you plan your trip and show you how everything works.
Wrocław is full of interesting places, beautiful streets, cafés and attractions for children.
So you can enjoy both worlds – the peace and quiet of our little town and the excitement of exploring a beautiful Polish city.

A few little house rules
We love spending time together, but we also value our family time and a little peace and quiet.
After 7 pm, we like to have some private family time, so this is when we usually say goodnight and everyone enjoys their own space. We hope you'll enjoy having a relaxing evening in your apartment too! :)
In the shared areas of our home (living room, kitchen and hallway), we simply try to keep things tidy and put things back where they belong.
Nothing too strict – just a little respect for each other's space and comfort. ❤️ -
