  Description

  We’re a family owned restaurant on the hills of Masaka, serving international food and being a hangout spot for locals and internationals. The perfect view over the town with a fresh breeze, joined with food made with love and from scratch and a calm atmosphere make us one of the most loved coffeehouse and lounges in town.
  The restaurant is run by 11 local staff members: Chefs, Kitchen Porter, Service Personnel, Cleaner, Garden and Security Personnel and a Supervisor. They are all very welcoming an curios to get to know you!

  We’re an international family (Ugandan-German) owning an international meeting point in Masaka. We will be able to help you understand the Ugandan way of life from two different perspectives.
  You work together with locals and can meet at the same time people from all over the world. If you have some German skills, our kids would definitely love to practice their German with you and play together. You could join our employees to get to know their life out of work and discover Masakas best bars together. Or become part of an international community staying here in Masaka and enjoying their free time together.

  We’re welcoming every kind of creative person:
  - Gardening loving and handy people can work together with our staff to upgrade our garden, build an upcycling urban gardening corner or grow our kids play corner.
  - Social media content creators to work on our advertisement.
  - Plan some events like open mic, games nights or activities for kids.
  - Share your ideas for our menu and we will be able to serve our customers your favorite food from home!
  
  We will sit down and see together, where could your area of interest meet our needs and with whom you’ll work together. We’re sure we’ll find something fun to do!!

  Hébergement

  You’ll stay in a cozy room in the boys quarter at our families home, which is just a 10min walk away from our restaurant. (The room is currently under renovation, we will upload updated photos as soon as possible!)
  The room has a queen size bed and an outside bathroom which is just used by you. Both compounds - at home and the restaurant are very green and invite you to just chill in the hammock in your free time. Or hang out with kids, dogs (our security and friends) and other people around. The city centre can be reached in a 15-20min walk, or just a 5min Boda Boda ride and offers almost all the needs you could have.
  Breakfast can be organized at home and at the restaurant we cook for our staff lunch, which you’re invited to share. An evening snack is also provided at the restaurant, or you just order something on our staff discount rate.

  Autres infos...

  Near by, you can enjoy the breeze at Lake Nabugabo or catch a ferry to the Ssese Islands. Also Lake Mburo National Park is just an 1.5hours drive from Masaka. The city itself offers sport activities at the sports club and has several swimming pools and gyms, sauna and steam. But you can also just wander around the town or discover the area on rented bicycles. A day with a family in the village, a night dancing at the cities most famous bar… we can organize many things for and with you!
  We appreciate, if you don’t smoke or use drugs on our compounds.

  At our home you can easily work in the garden or veranda using our WiFi. Here we have several co-working rooms as well as beautiful spots in the garden, where you can just sit, log into the WiFi and start your work.

  Espace pour garer des vans

  There is enough space to for your tent in one of our compounds and over landers are also welcome! For a whole motorhome we might not have enough space. Reach out to us and we see what is possible!
