  Description

  Welcome to Cortijo Avellano.
  We are a couple taking care of 2 ha of land, 5 cats & some chicken. We like art, music, permaculture & simple lifestyle.
  4 years ago we moved here to this magical & very quiet valley and still there is lots of work to do ... One of the building we already renovated, but the old farm house needs a new roof & some stone walls to be repaired ...
  At the moment we need help with repairing fences, making doors from wood, building stone walls, taking Care of the Land & irrigation.
  We are open to guests who enjoy to do some practical work on the land, who love to create beautiful corners & who are interested in creativity. We specially like to welcome musicians as in our free time we love to play in our jam session space.
  Deedee is a carpenter, artist & musician,
  Yoya has experience in permaculture gardening, loves singing circles & shamanic rituals.
  We live in a quiet neighbourhood where sometimes music circles or little partys are happening.

  We like to create spaces for music improvisation / jam sessions where everyone can take part.
  We can give you sometimes Support in learning different Instruments
  (Guitar, Hang, Percussion, Harmonium, ...)
  We also have a little Home Studio here...
  And you can learn lots of practical stuff: permaculture gardening, wood carving, carpentry work, sewing / repairing cloths, knitting, basket weaving, ...

  Aide

  At the moment we mainly need help with caretaking for the land, weeding, cutting grass & gardening. In june we will start to repair our old cortijo (farmhouse), so there will be also help needed with stone walls, plastering, preparing wood beams, ...

  Hébergement

  We have a Yurt with wooden floor & dubble matrasse & s little guest room.
  We have 1 kitchen that guests can use whenever they want.
  Our bathroom is not finished - shower & compost toilet are simple & close to nature.
  
  3 meals a day, mainly vegan or vegetarian
  ( we will eat breakfast & lunch together, there is a comunal kitchen where food is provided & you can prepare your own dinner )

  Autres infos...

  We live in a nice neighbourhood where there is sometimes invites for singing, dancing or parties. There are possibilities for hikes & we are half hour walk from a nice river. The little town Orgiva with shops, markets & many activities is 20 min drive from our farm.
