  Description

  Hi, I’m Aurelio, 39 years old, and together with my daughter Allegra (4) we are living in the countryside near Gubbio, in Umbria.
  
  I work in an agricultural environment (biodynamic cow farm) and I’m interested in simple living, nature, food, animals and creating a life that feels more connected to the land.
  
  Our daily life is quite relaxed and outdoors: I work six days a week in the farm where we live while she goes to school from monday to friday. It's usually a slow rhythm (quite isolated) rural life.
  
  Allegra is curious, imaginative, energetic and loves being outside, meeting people, inventing games and exploring.
  
  At the end of Ocotber her mom will be gone for work (she organises events). Rather than looking for traditional childcare, I thought it would be nice to create a small cultural exchange experience: welcoming someone who would enjoy spending time with Allegra and sharing everyday life with us.
  
  Our place is not a commercial project or a big farm — it’s simply a home in the countryside and an opportunity to share a meaningful piece of life together.
  
  We appreciate kindness, openness, simplicity and people who enjoy genuine human connections.
  
  If you enjoy children, nature, quiet places and a slower pace of life, you will probably feel good here 🌿

  We would love this to feel like a real cultural exchange rather than childcare.
  
  You would experience everyday life in the Umbrian countryside, surrounded by nature and a small agricultural environment. The farm is a byodinamic farm made by the swiss couple who owns the place (where I work) .
  
  You would have the chance to:
  – experience daily life in rural Italy
  – spend time in beautiful natural surroundings near Gubbio
  – discover local food and traditions
  – improve your Italian (we also speak English)
  – share meals and conversations together
  – learn about our lifestyle and agricultural projects if you are curious (completely optional)
  – enjoy free time to explore the area, hike, relax, read or simply enjoy quiet countryside life
  
  Allegra is curious, playful and full of imagination, so there is also a beautiful exchange through games, creativity and seeing the world through a child’s eyes.
  
  We hope to host someone who enjoys human connection, simple living and sharing a meaningful piece of autumn together.

  🌿 Looking for an au pair (or a couple) for August in the countryside near Gubbio 🌿
  
  Hi!
  
  We are Aurelio (39) and Allegra (4), and we live in the countryside near Gubbio, in Umbria (central Italy), within a small agricultural setting surrounded by nature.
  
  Allegra’s mum, Alice, will be gone at the end of Ocotber for work, more or less for 16 days.
  
  We are looking for a person (or a couple) who would enjoy spending a few weeks here at the end of October (24/10 -> 08/11) and helping with Allegra.
  
  📅 Period:
  From August 20th of October till the 8th of November
  Allegra's mom will be gone from the 24th, so the first 4 days is to get to know the place and Allegra.
  (if you wish to come earlier or leave later to enjoy the place we are open for that).
  
  👧 How it would work:
  
  From Tuesday till Friday: you need to bring Allegra (with my car) to school and take her back. School hours are supposed to be from 9 to 14 monday wednesday and friday while tuesday and thursday from 9 to 16 . It's a private forest school.
  From the 20th till the 23rd it's a gentle settling-in period.
  From October 24th to November 8th, her mum will leave and I will be working, which means we need more regular support.
  
  If you wish to stay longer (before or after) we are open for that
  
  🧡 We are looking for someone who is:
  
  – calm, reliable and affectionate with children
  – comfortable outdoors and with a simple countryside lifestyle
  – happy to spend time with Allegra while her dad is working
  – no housework is required (only normal tidying up after activities)
  
  🚗 If you come as a couple:
  that’s absolutely fine, as long as one of you is the main person supporting Allegra.

  We are not looking for a professional nanny, but for a warm and peaceful presence who would enjoy sharing a piece of autumn with us.

  Hébergement

  The accommodation is located in the countryside near Gubbio, surrounded by fields, nature and a quiet rural atmosphere.
  The last kilometer to reach the house is unpaved. With a 2 wheel drive is feasible but you need to take care.
  
  We offer a private room located upstairs in my apartment, where I live with Allegra
  
  Food is included.
  
  The house is simple, cozy and comfortable rather than luxurious — the idea is to enjoy a peaceful countryside experience and everyday life in rural Umbria.
  
  You will have space to rest, privacy during your free time and access to the surrounding outdoor areas.
  
  The location is rural, so being comfortable with countryside life and having your own car is important for moving around and exploring independently. If you don't have a car you can use mine while I work or if I don't need it.

  Internet connection of your phone is quite weak at home. We have a radio antenna for internet but it's not always strong and reliable .

  There is a room to host you but also campervan could work to be parked next to the house, we just need to check with the farmowner in advance.

  There is another dog in the farm, and plenty of cats and eventually wildlife roaming around (boars for example) . I think it can work, we just need to check with the farmowner in advance.
