Description
We have three kids and a grandchild between us. We own an acreage that has a pond, creek, old growth trees, specimen trees throughout... there's wildlife : bob cats, bears, deer and a multitude of birds.
Daily Life & Cultural Exchange
We enjoy spending time with our Workawayers—whether it’s working on a project together, sharing meals, or exploring the local area. If you’re interested, we’d love to teach you how to cook Canadian and Persian dishes and learn about your favorite foods too!
We value meaningful conversations, laughter, and the exchange of ideas. If you’re looking to experience hands-on learning in a welcoming and interactive environment, we’d love to host you!
Let us know what you’re interested in, and we’ll find ways to make the experience enriching for everyone.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Cultural Exchange & Learning Opportunities
We love meeting new people and sharing skills! I have experience in forestry, woodworking, electrical work, renovation, and hardscaping, and I now run my own investigative business. If you’re interested in hands-on learning, I’m happy to share what I know. We also enjoy exchanging ideas, learning from our guests, and working together on various projects.Projets impliquant des enfants

Aide
We’re accepting couples or single workawayers.
Depending on the time of year and the projects we’re working on, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about and take part in:
• Tree care and pruning techniques
• Sustainable landscaping and gardening
• Woodworking and carpentry
• Home improvement and DIY projects
• Responsible land management and conservation
• Canadian and Persian cuisine ( including vegetarian and gluten-free dishes ) – If you love food, we’d be happy to teach you how to prepare authentic Persian dishes and learn your favorite cooking traditions too!
We encourage volunteers to work alongside us rather than independently, ensuring a great learning experience. If you have skills or experiences to share, we’d love to learn from you too!
