I stayed about ten days with Diti at the very beginning of my trip. I couldn't have wished for a better introduction into the country. Diti was very kind and helpful in terms of planning my trip and giving me advise on what not to miss. The work was very easy and she always came to check on me. I did some gardening work, and a bit of house work.
… read more She always cooked a fantastic meal, mostly out of fresh vegetables from the garden. I really got to experience the Leigh and its beautiful beaches. I'm so thankful and happy to have stayed with you. I will miss our eveningtalks! I stayed in Diti's house for about 10 days and I couldn't have had a better experience. I was always treated with a smile and was able to enjoy my time in New Zealand. I got to do gardening, housekeeping, take walks on the beaches and have interesting conversations about local and expat culture.

Diti was the last stop on my trip and definitely a very good choice. I felt very comfortable and lived in a very nice tiny house. My main task was various garden work, always in a relaxed working atmosphere. Although Diti really didn't expect much work compared to most hosts, she took a lot of time to show me some beautiful places and the great

Diti responded to my workaway SOS in less than 24 hours (communication had been temporarily cut off with another host on short notice, it all worked out) and wow, I couldn’t have met a better person on such short notice!! The work was enjoyable and lovely outside gardening stuff, Diti’s house really is just about as close as you can get to the sea with lots of quiet spots to explore for swimming, surf nearby (if you have a car it’s best) and sunset watching. Diti has a great collection of books and movies, I even got to go out fishing with her brother. She’s incredibly kind and very knowledgeable & involved with the local community, this is a great place to workaway especially if you’re interested in marine conservation, surf & dive during the summer months. I stayed with Diti for a month, near the very end of my 8 month stay in New Zealand, and I wish I had met her sooner! … read more the sunrises are incredible! The meals were delicious, the company was great, and Diti is super sweet and showed me around the area. I helped out for two weeks and then I house-sat for two weeks, which was nice.
