Hello, we are a family of 4 with 2 adult children: Tommy of 21 years old student of Law and Camy of 19 years old, student .We live in a no smoking apartment near the Vatican and the centre of Rome, without pet .

Aide
We are looking for a qualified mother tongue volunteer who teach English to the family and can help Tommy to obtain the Advanced certificate of Cambridge (CAE) an Camy the First (FCE). Normally 3 hours of lessons a day and 2 hours a day to collaborate with the housework, for 5 days a week.
The need of help in the housework is for maintaining our flat very very cleaned and tidy, and generally it can be in the morning , for example: clean and wash the floors, clean the sanitary and bathrooms, clean and wash the balconies, dusting the furniture and shelves, clean the closets, vacuuming of the entire house, making beds, setting and clearing the lunch table, cleaning the cooking, washing dishes and pots, go shopping at the market for kitchen, collaborate in the preparation of meals ( in particular washing and cleaning vegetables), bring wet clothes in the condominium terrace for hanging out, passing the coating oil on the doors, move the wax on the floors.
The English lessons one-to -one could be done in the afternoon or after dinner, but in general we are very flexible and willing to accommodate your requests and your interest to visit Rome or to study.
A typical period of the stay can be one month.

Our apartment is located at walking distance from the Vatican, in front of the BUS stop end near the Metro A or the Train station of St. Peter. With few bus stops you can arrive to Piazza Navona or Piazza Venezia. Nearby there is also the big "Villa Pamphili" green park for walking and jogging.

A paltry feedback such as this would achieve little by way of description to the time I spent with this family, so I won't even attempt it. A less daunting task would be to highlight a few notable things and I for one (as Pino knows all too well) like to take the line of resistance so this is exactly what I will do.

Firstly, it should be said… read more that while this advertisement is listed as a work-live experience the former never imposed itself on the latter. The workload was always very light and given that the house was always in an impeccabile state there was little to clean around the house.

In regards to the English teaching, Pino was flexible and open-minded meaning that the content was, while at times; a little scattered, always fun and interesting. Lessons were done late in the evenings due to his work schedule which left me the day to explore Roma and whilst I, admittedly didn't make the absolute most of this freedom, Pino was very extremely helpful in his suggestions and even took the time to organise tours for me around Roma. Soon enough however, Pino was to realise that my nature prohibits me from doing too many strenuous activities unless it involves late night antics so catered for this by permitting me more freedom in the evenings, much to his dismay - i'm sure.

Another perk of this stay was the exquisite Italian food served each day cooked mainly by Antonina and at times, though slightly less aptly, by Pino! Besides from the food Antonina always did her best to make me feel welcome, which is never easy considering the language difference. On that note, I want to dedicate a special mention to her for helping me with my Italian language, I improved an enormous amount during my short time there!

On to the Camy and Tommy. Now I must watch what I say here, because keeping three rapscallion youngsters together in one house will always lead to trouble. And whilst Camy is certainly far more shrewd than Tommy I am still working out who the ring leader is! As the ol' saying goes however, if you can't see the culprit maybe its you. All jokes aside though, after a short period of time I feel like I have made two great friends for life. A special mention is dedicated to Tommy here for introducing me to his friends and making sure I felt comfortable early on - introducing me to all things Italian....

All in all I couldn't recommend this place more. Its a home away from home as the cliché goes. Now living in Roma there will be no doubt that I will pay regular visits to the family and hopefully continue my lessons with Pino.
