Description
The farm was born in 2011 with a vision of efficient self sustainability. We are located in what Ernest Hemingway called "the most beautiful valley in the world": the Trebbia valley. We organize events.
We produce lavender and derivatives (mainly essential oil). We host horses for customers and have our own for riders and trekkers. A permaculture project was started few years ago.

We are on a top of a hill at 600 meters above sea level with a wonderful landscape. The nearest village with shops and bars is far 9km. There isn't a public service connecting our farm to the main village. Helpers during their free time can walk around our mountains or down to the river where is possible do swim. Experienced horse riders can ride horses.
In order to live a real help exchange experience we kindly ask helpers to stay minimum TWO WEEKS.
Language spoken in the farm among helpers and host: English
Aide
September/October 2022 the main tasks are collecting fire wood and cut it. There are some maintenance works to do.
There is also the need to empty the old farmhouse because in a while the renew work will finally start. No need to harvest lavender.
Springtime is the maintenance season: fences, paddocks and everything which needs to be fixed. Gardening.
July and August the help will be mainly for harvesting lavender.
We are going to build for the second year the straw bale castle you can see in the picture. The castle will host artistic and culinary events from mid July to the end of August. Artists and musicians are always welcome here.
September work with lavender, maintenance and firewood collection for the winter.
I'm developing an APP for Trekkers. If you are a JAVASCRIPT and REACT-NATIVE expert we can do something nice together.
Helpers who are experienced riders can train and fit horses in the free time.

Hébergement
A room with two (or more) beds for helpers is the accommodation. Fire stove for the cold season.
Usually helpers are eating with hosts which are cooking mainly Italian food. Though we mostly eat vegetarian food we are not vegetarian. Anyway vegetarians never had problems eating with us. We just ask to be a little flexible. When helpers would like to cook their own typical dishes this is always appreciated.

This is a great place! Roberto and Tiziana are wonderfull hosts, they have a big trust in the volunteers. Rejold was clearly in his first experience on workaway. Anyway it was a pleasure having him here. We did a lot of work into the weed and we started to build a new shelter. He even translated our home page site in Japanese.
