    Description

Hi all! We are Anika, Benicio, Clementina and Diego — travelers, artists, nature lovers, deep talkers, and community seekers. For the last 9 years we have been traveling around the world, first with backpacks and later living on the road in our van. Along the journey, our two kids were born, and through many volunteering and community experiences, we discovered a different way of living and connecting with people.

After many years traveling, we decided to return to Chile and create something from the heart.

In December 2025, after 28 hours of flying, we arrived back home and settled in the beautiful village of San Fabián de Alico, about 4.5 hours south of Santiago. We live in a big house surrounded by mountains, native forest, rivers, hot springs, and amazing hiking spots — together with our two baby cats, Batumi and Luccio.

Now we are building an art and community project from scratch: creating spaces for sculpture, ceramics, music, creativity, healthy food, medicinal plants, connection with nature, and conscious living. For us, volunteering is much more than exchanging work for food and accommodation — it’s about sharing life, knowledge, experiences, and creating meaningful connections.

We are looking for people who resonate with this way of life and would like to contribute in different ways: helping us build and improve the spaces, creating art together, supporting with social media, audiovisual content, communication, project management, funding ideas, or simply bringing good energy and an open heart.

We love deep conversations, cooking together, learning from each other, and creating a space based on respect, balance, freedom, and collaboration. There are no bosses or employees here — we believe in fair exchange, community, and contributing from the heart.

We are especially happy to connect with artists, musicians, healers, makers, free spirits, and people who feel close to nature and want to live more consciously and creatively.

More than anything, we want to keep learning, sharing, and building a genuine community together.

If our words resonate with you, you are very welcome here.

    Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre

We collect many skills around us, and we are very open to sharing any that might be needed—such as healthy parenthood, community management, energy cleaning, white magic, wood carving, eco-building, permaculture, sculpture, geodesic domes, healthy food, talking circles, women’s circles, and holistic spirituality. (We’re not trying to be gurus, but we love all these topics, which help us grow and share our perspective.)

We are located in La Vega of San Fabián de Alico, about 36 kilometers from the city center of San Carlos. From San Fabián, there are plenty of hikes to do: small lagoons, waterfalls, streams, rivers, rafting, rock climbing spots, hot springs, horse riding, flower viewpoints, and much more. San Fabián de Alico is especially interesting because it lies in a unique ecological transition zone where northern and southern Chilean ecosystems meet—the Mediterranean sclerophyllous forest and the temperate rainy Andean forest. This creates exceptionally rich biodiversity, where species and landscapes that don’t usually coexist can be found together in the same territory.

During your free time, you can take walks in the area, enjoy the river, visit the village, go hiking, or simply relax at home. The house is warm, with a hot shower, some musical instruments to practice on, books to read, and a garden to spend time in.

In San Fabián, there are cultural activities once a week. A bit farther away is Chillán, a bigger city with all kinds of things to do or buy—we usually go once a month. We can give you recommendations based on what you’re interested in doing.

The nearest ATM is 6 kilometers from the house, in the nearest town.

We’re currently building an art project from scratch — creating and shaping spaces for art, handcrafts, creativity, and community. We’re looking for people who would like to be part of the process in different ways: helping us set up and improve the spaces, contributing creatively to the art itself, or supporting us in sharing the project with more people.

We’d especially love help from people with skills in social media, audiovisual production, content creation, communication, or anything that can help our art reach further. We’re also open to support with project management, networking, funding opportunities, and the organizational side of making creative projects sustainable.

Diego is currently creating a wood sculpture workshop, and soon we want to build a ceramic oven to start learning, experimenting, and creating with clay. We also plan to create a space for metal sculpture, as well as a musical instrument laboratory and luthier workshop — we already make some experimental instruments and would love to keep exploring that world together.

Anika is a copywriter and gourmet chef who loves experimenting with magical and conscious food. After 10 years of vegetarianism, she recently started eating natural meat again in a very mindful way, which has opened many new possibilities for creative cooking and food exploration.

Our two kids go to a small rural school and come back home around 4 pm. They are quite independent and usually immersed in their own world, but language exchange, games, creative activities, or simply spending time together is always welcome.

There is always some general cleaning, organizing, building, or creative problem-solving to do around the house and project. We constantly have new ideas and fun projects in mind, and we are very open to new perspectives, skills, and contributions.

Any help, creativity, or good energy is truly appreciated!

    Hébergement

We offer a comfortable room for a maximum of three people. Our house has a spacious kitchen with both gas and wood stoves, a large separate living area to relax, make music, read, or simply enjoy the space, a big bathroom with a hot shower, limited Wi-Fi, a large terrace, and a garden to spend free time in.

We are located in a very quiet rural area where insects, trees, and the wind are part of everyday life. There is some car traffic, but nothing compared to the noise of the city. Just a 10-minute walk from the house, you can fully immerse yourself in nature and hear only the river and the birds.

Food is a very important subject for us, and we always share what we have. Providing meals is not always simple, but we make a real effort to offer volunteers breakfast, lunch, and dinner — or at least the ingredients to cook if, for some reason, we can’t do it ourselves. Any contribution you would like or are able to bring (flour, legumes, rice, eggs, fruits, vegetables, etc.) is deeply appreciated, but it is absolutely not a requirement to join our little family community ;)

On your days off, we can cook together, or you can prepare your own meals if you prefer staying at home. We currently do not follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, although our meat consumption is quite low, and we love cooking vegetarian and vegan food as well.

If you have any special diet or allergies, it’s important to talk about it beforehand. You are also welcome to bring any special ingredients or products you may need.

The nearest small shop is just across the street, but for more specific things, the village is about 6 kilometers from the house. We can take you there whenever needed, and we also go to the nearest bigger town (still quite small!) about once a week.

Our neighbor also has a small farm with goats, horses, a donkey, and chickens.
The area has a river with clean, fresh water, as well as a smaller river a 5-minute walk in the opposite direction.
For your arrival, you can come straight to the house. There is a bus from Santiago to San Fabián at 15:00, which stops right in front of the land and arrives here around 21:00.
We enjoy psychology, philosophy, and mystical arts.
We are very interested in being in contact with other travelers, as this also keeps us traveling—renewing our energies and ideas, and practicing languages.
