Description
We are Robert and Dona, and we run a small and basic eco campsite close to Permet, the region where we also both grew up. It's a small family business and we run it on our own. Our daughter is studying in Tirana but every now and then she's also here to help us.
In our opinion, a tent, motorhome, caravan, van or even a hammock is not less than a ‘real house’, a home for the people who use it. Therefore we find it very important that people can pick their own spot on our campsite and can feel at home for how many days or weeks they choose to stay.
Besides the campsite we also offer activities such as rafting, climbing, canyoning and hiking tours. Robert is a certified and experienced guide.
We live together on our campsite with animals like cats, dogs, a horse, sheep and chickens. At the campsite and home our facilities are basic: we have two shared toilets and showers; hot water we get from solar panels (so on a cloudy day there is less hot water…). Electricity and internet is only available at the bar.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
Most visitors of the campsite are travelers from all over the world, so you will be able to have an intercultural exchange for the time you are staying here. Since me and my husband grew up here, we can provide a lot of information about the the area and the life here in this region.
We are also happy to share information about the Albanian culture in general and we are more than happy to help you with learning a bit of the Albanian language if you wish to do so.
We both live on the campsite fulltime so we can get to know each other and exchange experiences.Aide
We need help with various things, like gardening, cooking, taking care of animals, helping us with taking care of our guests, cleaning etc.

You can bring your own home like a van/tent/caravan, or use one of our tents. The tent comes with a matrass, sleeping bag and pillow (and in case it is necessarey, extra blankets), but is very basic.
We cannot promise anything about food - we are happy to share our food with you, but as we are so busy in the season, we usually eat very late in the evening or sometimes not at all. Therefore we ask volunteers if it's okay that they cook for themselves. (And of course, if we can, we can share our food with you.) In case this happens, you can work less hours, like 2 or 3 per day!Autres infos...
About 10 km from the campsite are the thermal springs and old Ottoman bridge you can visit. 5 minutes walking and you are at the river Vjosa, one of Europes last untouched rivers. The water is cold, but in summer this is great to cool down! Also the area offers nice hiking options, as we are surrounded by mountains. The city Permet is 3 km away; here you can go to bars, restaurants, supermarkets and other shops.
