  Description

  My husband Riccardo and I live and work in Florence. We’re in our 50s/60s and enjoy travelling as well as pottering around in our second country house in the south of Tuscany, Maremma. We are reliable, sturdy and friendly. Riccardo runs a leather goods business, and I work as a counsellor. We have grown children living all over the globe. We love our home in Maremma as it is a very silent and nested-away place where we unwind and feel nature. We are 20 km from beaches. So we tend to come more in the summer, and enjoy having people to visit. As a second home in the country, it is a very demanding project especially with regards to maintenance, gardening and cleaning.

  Language (we speak Italian and English would enjoy practising French and Spanish) some archeological sites around the area, rural life style. As well as full immersion in Italian family life. We don’t think of ourselves as particularly talented, but age and experience actually make us an interesting couple. Riccardo loves world history and sharing and talking about it. Drawn to spirituality, yoga and self growth. But not an in an obsessive way.

  Aide

  Mostly gardening and cleaning and upkeep tasks to our property. It can be carpentry projects if interested, digging and weeding the garden, possibly starting a vegetable garden, repairing and painting, maintenance work to our tree house. some interior cleaning also applies. we have recently added a pool and need help in getting rid of rocks from outside the pool's perimeter.
  we would appreciate and welcome hearing about your suggested way of doing things we have very little experience in agriculture but are very keen on starting a vegetable garden

  I have spent some time in South America and would enjoy brushing up my Spanish with native speakers. I also enjoy speaking French, but haven't done so in years.

  Hébergement

  Room with double bed and shared bathroom. Two windows, nice and airy and bright. Or studio on the treehouse (to be prepared with your help)
  We provide food, and cooked meals most days. Sometimes you might be asked to cook for yourself or share your cooking abilities with us.
  Depending on the weeks, we might leave you in the house for work trips to Florence.

  I am vegetarian whereas Riccardo is not. So we can welcome all kinds of helpers
  We pick you up from nearest station (montepescali scalo) and provide lifts or lend you a car to move about. Very little public transport !
  A couple would be most welcome.
