  Hello everyone !
  
  If you are travelling and want to discover this lovely and lively part of France, we are welcoming people in the next few weeks, as we are planning to plant an hedge to protect the garden from the wind and give more habitats to the birds, and need to prepare the garden for the winter. Possibly also a few maintenance tasks in the house.
  
  We are Luc and Katia, brother and sister; we live in a communal setting with people of all ages and a few nationalities, in a country home in the south of France. The house is located just below Le Poët-Laval, a small medieval village in the Drôme department (Rhône-Alpes region), 30 minutes by car from Montélimar and 1h30 from Lyon, Marseille, Grenoble or Montpellier.
  
  We aim to live a life in harmony with nature. We use solar energy for some of our hot water and heat, we have a large organic vegetable garden, make our own compost, take care of the forest and fix and upgrade the living spaces ourselves. We intend to create a place based on community sharing, intergenerational and intercultural exchange and creative explorations.
  
  We have both traveled around the world and we love good conversation and sharing our experiences. Besides French, our mother tongue, we speak English, Portuguese and a little bit of Spanish.
  
  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities:
  
  This is a great place to discover both the French and Provençal cultural environment. You will be able to visit typical small villages, open air markets and discover local food (goat cheese, wine, olives, tapenade…), including lots of organic products, since Drôme has many organic farmers.
  
  Here you can also enjoy the beauty of nature. Mountain and forest hiking routes are abundant, some of them leaving from our house. You will also find climbing areas and if you are lucky (depending on the season) you can take a bath in the river!
  
  This region is culturally very active, with concerts, festivals, theater and more.
  We both have artistic, creative and personal development backgrounds. Katia is a puppeteer and singer, and Luc is a creative carpenter and a “human design” guide.
  We will be happy to share what we have gathered along the road with you.

  This is a great place to discover both the french and Provençal culture. You can visit typical Provençal villages, open air markets and discover local food (goat cheese, wine, olives, tepenade…), including lots of biologic products, since Drôme has a lot of biologic producers.
  
  Here you can also enjoy nature in its purest form. Mountain and forest hiking routes are really abundant, you have climbing areas and if you are lucky (depending on the season) you can even take a bath in the river!
  
  This region is also culturally very active and you can find concerts, festivals, theater…
  
  Our house does not fall behind in the artistic aspect since Katia is a puppeteer and singer, and Luc is a really creative carpenter and a “human design” guide. We will be happy to share everything we know with you.
  
  We are also willing to devote some time to English and French learning if you want!

  Aide

  Help:
  
  Help here will always take place in the house or taking care of the land:
  
  - Vegetable garden: Seeding, harvesting, irrigation, preparing new beds, making compost, maintaining the fence.
  - Forest: Cutting fire wood, cleaning the forest. We are planning on making a pond close to the house in the near future.
  - Carpentry and do-it-yourself workshop: different carpentry work around the house. We are hoping to make a solar fruits and vegetables dryer before the summer.
  - General maintenance: Painting, varnishing, remodeling parts of the house. A complete remodeling of one of the bathroom is planned.

  You will have a comfortable room with a single or double bed .We also have a room with four beds for bigger groups. There is a bathroom exclusively for volunteers and they are two kitchens for our use in the house.

  How you can get here:
  There are trains and buses to Montélimar, and from there you can take the bus 35, direction Dieulefit and stop at “Poët Laval Gougne” ()
  We can come and pick you up in Montélimar if there are no buses available when you arrive.
  
  
  About food:
  Depending on the number of people, we will eat some or all the meals together. We eat mostly vegetarian, but not exclusively. We can also offer you to eat mostly raw food. Let us know if you have an interest in that.
  
  Other things we’ll be happy to offer you while you are here:
  English or French lessons.
  Taichi lessons and practice (Yang school, short form).
  Introduction and discussion of your “human design”chart.
