Description
We are couple in our 30's with a little baby. Hugo is an architect & I am an artist.
We own a beautiful 1890's weatherboard home in Katoomba, Blue Mountains. Hugo has designed an addition to the house & we would like to host a workawayer who has general building & maintenance skills, who can be Hugo's off-sider for a couple of weeks. We also always need help with smaller odd jobs: painting, stacking firewood, gardening/weeding and cleaning.
Our house is in a wonderful location, 5 minute walk to the centre of town & train station. Also very close to beautiful bushwalks in the world heritage national park.
We are widely travelled having lived in Italy, Thailand & travelled in Japan & across Europe & America.
We are currently living in another house in Leura (2 min drive from Katoomba house) as it is much easier to build on the house without a toddler! You will stay in the Katoomba house by yourself and we will come to the house daily to work with you.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Autres infos...
Katoomba's main industry is tourism based on its mountain scenery. The rock formation known as the Three Sisters, viewable from Echo Point about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the main town, is the most famous feature, and attracts some four million visitors each year. Other features of the Jamison Valley visible from Echo Point include Mount Solitary and the rock formation known as the Ruined Castle. A short walk from Echo Point leads to The Giant Stairway which provides access to a number of nature walks through the Valley. Some of these are quite rugged and not recommended for inexperienced walkers. Several of the Jamison Valley tracks including the Stairway itself were closed in recent years due to maintenance, but most have since been re-opened. The local geography includes extensive areas of dense warm temperate rainforest, hanging swamps and a series of spectacular waterfalls (albeit with a relatively low water volume).
