Description
We are a family of 4 living in the Charente Maritime. We own a large house where we host students learning English and host occasional bed and breakfast guests. We are all interested in meeting new people and enjoy fresh food and activities in the garden include growing vegetables and raising our own chickens and ducks. We have 4 french bulldogs who are gentle and love to play. During the off season times, we are hoping to continue to renovate and maintain the extensive house and garden, we appreciate workaways skills and look forward to showing you our hospitality and welcome you to our home. Please note all works are for the families benefit and not for commercial purposes.

We offer large accommodation in our home and can help with an English language exchange/immersion. We generally love to meet people and could benefit from mutual learning. Happy to provide some sightseeing around the area if required.

Aide
Help in the garden to trim hedges, general planting and finishing mini landscaping projects. Anyone with vegetable garden knowledge gratefully welcomed, along with woodworkers and general help. We are renovating our maison maitre and theres still several rooms to get finished. We have some large walls which would make a fantastic canvas for some garden artwork if you have an artistic talent and so much more.

We have a twin room ensuite or a double room with a seperate bathroom available and both used with our student hosting. The beds are all clean and the rooms are a good standard. There is hi-speed wifi. Meals provided as per requirements. Happy to discuss a workaways preferences and a mutually convenient agreement

We are positioned well for exploring the charente maritime in the heart of Cognac country. Our property is on the edge of a small town and there is a cinema, bakers, artisnal shops and supermarkets all in walking distance. Many places of interest to visit and things to do.
