This was my 2nd WA experience with my daughter and a most wonderful one! Lisa and TJ"S were extremely welcoming and kind to me and my 16 yr old daughter (Although they were not hosting at that time, they invited us to stay which made it all the more special). Their homestead is so beautiful and wonderfully well located! Since we share several
… read more passions, horses, nature, art and have California as a common denominator, our stay was made even more so memorable! Tj and Lisa told us what needed to be done around the horse's arena and in the vegetable garden. They trusted us with the work and the homestead which was really nice! We enjoyed very nice conversations and some meals in their spacious ranch and on the deck looking at the most amazing starry Colorado skies. What a treat! Since my daughter and I both are artists, TJ showed us some of her paintings which is something artists always enjoy sharing amongst themselves. TJ is very talented and her perception of nature very unique!

My experience at Lisa and TJ's place was great. I did some standard yard work and a little painting for them. Although I didn't meet TJ until right before I left, Lisa treated me very well and insisted I check out Mesa Verde, which I did and it was awesome. Their place is beautiful and peaceful.

I've had 10 total workaway experiences and I have to say that this one was one of my favorites. T.J and Lisa are very fun to be around and got me everything I needed to be comfortable, even my own personal food items. … read more house is located in an incredible part of Colorado too so working outside is great and filled with beautiful scenery. Their dogs, Q and Spiff, really seemed to like me and I got to play with them every day in the yard. T.J and Lisa both sing so I was able to play songs with them on guitar, which was a blast. They also made dinner almost every night...all delicious meals.
