Our popular hostel in the colourful city of Valparaiso needs energetic, reliable and enthusiastic people for hostel staff.
We need lively and friendly staff to mingle with the guests and create a great warm vibe whilst doing your duties. We all speak English, however basic and conversational Spanish is needed as half our guests are Latinos and Chileans. The role includes working the reception, check in check out, changing linens, cleaning various areas, assisting tourist enquiries etc.
The Workaway role would ideally be minimum 2 weeks or we would welcome longer term stays with really awesome staff.
We offer accommodation in exchange for 25 hours a week help!. We also provide some basic food supply like rice and pasta for you to cook. Coffee, tea, oíl, sugar, salt, etc.

Your place to stay- Here we strive to make you feel at home in this newly refurbished two story amazing venue we are almost finished renovating.
There are permanent staff and some volunteers living here plus friendly tourists, we make sure you will enjoy exploring Valpo`s hidden corners, laneways full of street art, making new friends and getting lost in the never-ending nightlife. With its recently restored and renovated rooms this privately run little hostel is a friendly place to stay.
We have the best location, we are located in the heart of Valparaiso´s 'UNESCO world heritage site' historic old quarter, a short walk up the hill from Bellavista Street, walking distance to the countless tourist attractions including museums, markets and the colonial architecture that makes Valparaiso so beautiful and world famous.

Local areas include many of Valpo and Viña´s beaches and towns accessible vis easy bus trip or bike. Laguna Verde. Santiago only 1.5 hours via cheap coach. Peñuelas, Casablanca´s vineyards, Isla negra...
Valpo has excellent street and cultural art, a museum cafes, restaurants, galleries, cultural parks and gigs and events.
If you like to paint you are welcome get this hostel even more artistic.

Alessandra and Michel are so great!! They learnt all our rules and tasks very fast. Their energy kept our enviroment lively and friendly. Although Michel doesnt speak much Spanish, he did his best. Rafaela y Pedro fueron muy buenos voluntarios. Trabajaron muy bien , tuvieron muy buena comunicación con el resto del equipo y tambien los pasajeros del hostal. Resolvieron problemas de rutina y crearon buen ambiente .

I am very lucky to have found this place! The 2 weeks I spent at the construction site of the hostel were amazing. It was like being part of a family, we worked,cooked and went out together. Gonzalo and Felipe are very warm-hearted and uncomplicated. If my plans allow it I will definitely return and check out how it developed.
