 - Description- We are a family of 4, living our best life on our offgrid homestead farm in Belize.
we left the hustle and bustle of city life in search of a slower and healthier lifestyle to raise our kids and live healthier lives. our homestead is offgrid and as sustainable as were able to make it so far, (always improving) we grow many things, avocado's, mangoes, jackfruit, bananas, pineapples, papayas, spices, like ginger, vanilla, cacao, coffee, cinnamon and all sorts of edible and medicinal things, a few animals, chickens for eggs and meat, guard dog and cats, oh and honey bees too,
we built our own home and cultivated our land ourselves with our own hands, in cost effective and sustainable ways, our buildings use a mixture of stone, rammed earth and recycled wood, (and some modern stuff too)
we also make a mixture of natural products stocked, around Belize including natural hair and skin care, food and herbal supplements, herb teas, honey and bee products, and all sorts of other natural things sourced from our farm. (the list is ever expanding) we home school our kids, host retreats, travel all over the world , manage online businesses (we have decent WiFi! ) and continue to develop our little farm, we are currently building two studio style accommodations, 4 small sleeping cabanas, a workshop palapa, communal kitchen palapa among a few other building projects, expanding our farm and our local product offerings.
there is always lots to do, and help is always welcome, with a large array of tasks, anything from gardening and land to supporting with building projects, cooking, and social media, helping with the kids, and lots more. We do have regular labourers and do not expect workawayer to be replacement for our paid labour. This is our way of sharing our homestead & hopefully help enrich someones journey while they join us on ours.
we are happy to share the knowledge and skills that we have and appreciate any help we can get,
we are a few minutes drive away from the Caribbean sea and from the town of Corozal, there is much exploring to do here and some adventures to be discovered!
