Description
I live in South-East Sweden (Kalmar Län) in the countryside. I live in a red and white wooden "soldatorpet" farmhouse and an independent guest house (20 m) and a stable. My place is situated in the middle of the magical forrest with a nearby lake.
I am an active woman spending lots of time in my garden during spring and summer. Beside this I am creative and innovative in different ways, t.ex. textile projects, wood.
Friends come and spend some days with me and last year I evan had a scout-group enjoying some days. I appreciate to hear different things from different people from different countries.
In the last years we cleaned up 1 ha wilderness to create a Aboretum. After some years of hard work and sheeps grazing on the grassland I could start to plant small intresting trees and bushes. I will continue with this.
My garden always needs careful hands. If you have some experience in gardening it would be perfect.
2018 - the old wooden stabel needed new walls. It is 150 years old. The construction is already renewed on 2 sides. Now planks have to be fixed. If this is a work you will help me with - let me know. 2019 -We finished part of the wooden-walls but some more woodwork has to be done.
A big 1000l watertank has to be installed - water always needs! 2020 still work to do on the wall. Old windows has been refurbished and can be set into the walls....

To exchange in languages is the first step to interact to understand oneanother. I am always interested of the culture and thoughts of my WW's as well as to offer them information about my country.
Cooking together, sharing meals are times to talk and exchange experiences etc.
Also the practical work around the house and garden anable us to share many experiences and to learn from oneanother.

Hébergement
The studio apartment is part of swedish-style building which is separate from the main house. It includes a private bathroom and pantry with fridge. The space comfortably fits 2 persons with separate beds.

We live in the middle of nature. At this location you can enjoy the forest with its natural lakes and meadows, go swimming, fishing, have a barbecue on the sun deck, bird watching, collect berries or watch the sun-set at the lake side. This is the place at which you find no other distraction in wildlife or you go for a photo-shoot.
Two bikes can be used to investigate the nearby surrounding.
In the nearby village of Vissefjärda (5 km) you will finde a grocery shop and you can hire canoes. You also can take a train to Karlskrona.
Karlskrona offers its historical city center, the Kungsholm Fortress and its National Naval Museum.
In Emmaboda (18 km) you have access to the train to Kalmar and all places within Sweden or to Danmak and the rest of Europe.
Kalmar invites you to look at the Kalmar Castle, the Cathedral and the pituresque Isle of Öland with many more attractions.
