  Description

  Welcome to a Butterfly Sanctuary and Cultural Experience Near Cali, Colombia!
  We are a warm, welcoming, and passionate couple who have dedicated our lives to nature, education, and environmental conservation. Just 15 minutes from Cali, we have built a one-of-a-kind butterfly sanctuary and environmental education center. Here, you’ll find yourself surrounded by vibrant butterflies (15 native species!), lush gardens, hummingbirds, and an incredible 2,000 m² to-scale map of Colombia that offers visitors an immersive exploration of the country’s biodiversity.
  
  For over 20 years, we have been creating transformative experiences for tourists, school groups, and local communities, blending science, art, and storytelling to inspire a deep connection with nature. Thanks to our dedication, our sanctuary has consistently ranked among the top attractions in Cali on TripAdvisor (Top 3 over the past four years, and #1 in 2015!).
  
  We now invite you to join this meaningful journey and help nature bloom!
  
  How You Can Help
  We are looking for enthusiastic Workaway volunteers to support us in key areas:
  
  Workshops & Education – Assist with interactive workshops for school groups, helping to ignite curiosity about nature and conservation.
  
  Butterfly Rearing & Lab Help – Support the delicate process of raising butterflies and caring for these beautiful pollinators.
  
  Digital Content & Online Presence – Help capture the magic of the sanctuary through photography, videography, graphic design, or social media management.
  
  🌟 Minimum stay required: 3 months
  We ask for a minimum commitment of three months so that your contribution can have real impact and you can fully engage with the project and community.
  
  Since we receive many Workaway requests, we can only host volunteers with experience in at least one of these areas (the more, the better!):
  ✅ Environmental education or helping with children
  ✅ Performing arts (theater, music, puppetry, clowning, circus arts, etc.)
  ✅ Biology, zoology, or butterfly-related knowledge
  ✅ Graphic design, photography, or videography
  
  ⚠️ Important: Please apply only if you have experience in these areas, as we are unable to accommodate general volunteers at this time. We host only one volunteer at a time, so unfortunately we cannot accept couples or groups.
  
  ✨ Bonus skills: If you love cooking, enjoy gardening, or can help us practice English, that’s a wonderful plus!

  We look very creative friendly people , athletes who like to share with your family, lead a quiet and easy on the outskirts of the city life, just ask our volunteers meet the minimum guarantees to have a nice exchange.
  
  1. ask volunteers to be responsible with their personal hygiene , commonly we serve children and tourists which we require good presentation.
  2. Bring the essential elements of personal hygiene.
  3. Our activities begin at 8:00 am
