  Description

  Hello! We are a small family-run guesthouse located in Villarrica, a beautiful town in southern Chile near Villarrica Lake and Villarrica Volcano, surrounded by nature, national parks, hot springs, rivers and mountains.
  
  I work with a lady in the kitchen who assists me with meal preparation.
  
  This is a quiet and friendly place. We are not a party hostel — we offer a calm environment where travelers can rest and experience local life in Patagonia’s northern gateway.
  
  We welcome volunteers who enjoy simple living, cultural exchange and helping in a respectful family atmosphere.
  
  We usually organize flexible schedules so volunteers have time to explore the area.

  One of the most important parts of the experience here is cultural exchange.
  
  Villarrica is a historic town in southern Chile with strong local traditions connected to rural life, lakeside culture and the presence of the Mapuche territory that shapes the identity of this region. Staying with us is an opportunity to experience everyday life in a small Chilean city beyond the typical tourist routes.
  
  Volunteers can immerse themselves in local traditions, food culture, neighborhood life and conversations that reflect how people live in southern Chile today. Depending on the season, you may also experience local fairs, traditional celebrations and regional customs.
  
  We enjoy sharing stories about the history of the area, the development of Villarrica as a lake town and its connection with surrounding communities. Many volunteers appreciate the chance to practice Spanish while learning about local culture from a close and authentic perspective.
  
  This is not just a place to stay — it is a space to understand the rhythm, memory and traditions of southern Chile through everyday life.

  Hébergement

  Volunteers stay in a private room located on the second floor of the house. The room includes a comfortable double bed and a dresser for personal belongings, providing a quiet and cozy space to rest after daily activities.
  
  The house has a warm and family-style atmosphere, and volunteers share common areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and living spaces. The second floor offers privacy and a calm environment, ideal for relaxing or spending personal time.
  
  We'll serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea (*once*). Breakfast features bread, butter, jams, optional eggs, ham, plus coffee and tea.
  
  We want volunteers to feel comfortable and at home during their stay with us.

  Villarrica is a safe and friendly town with easy access to nature and outdoor activities throughout the year. From here, you can explore Villarrica Lake, Villarrica National Park, nearby hot springs, rivers, forests and the well-known town of Pucón, located only 30 minutes away.
  
  Public transportation is available and makes it easy to move around the area.
  
  We usually host volunteers who stay between one and three weeks, depending on availability and mutual agreement. We value respectful communication, responsibility and a collaborative spirit. Previous experience in guesthouses or hospitality is helpful but not required — attitude and willingness to help are more important.
  
  Basic Spanish is useful for daily interaction, but it is not mandatory. At the same time, staying here is a great opportunity to practice Spanish naturally through everyday life.
  
  We especially appreciate volunteers who enjoy calm environments, cultural exchange and learning about the history and traditions of southern Chile.
  
  Before confirming a stay, we like to have a short message exchange or video call to get to know each other and make sure the experience will be positive for everyone.

  Our guesthouse can be a good place for digital nomads who are looking for a quiet environment while experiencing cultural exchange in southern Chile. We have stable internet suitable for regular remote work tasks. The atmosphere in the house is calm and family-oriented, which helps maintain a good balance between work and daily life. Volunteer tasks are flexible and can be coordinated in advance to be compatible with remote working schedules. Villarrica is a small but well-connected town with access to essential services, public transportation and nearby destinations such as Pucón, national parks, hot springs and Villarrica Lake. It is an excellent location for people who want to combine remote work with nature and a slower pace of life.
