WELCOME
this Animal Care For Strays is a non-profit organization. We are an animal hospital that provides life-saving medical treatment, vaccinations, and sterilisations to the stray animals of Koh Phangan.
If you have a love for animals, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty, you came to the right place!
ABOUT US
Founded in 2001, this place addressed the lack of local veterinary services on Koh Phangan, where pet owners had to seek help off-island and strays faced dire conditions due to lack of population control.
the organization provides medical treatments, vaccinations, and sterilization programs. Furthermore we facilitate adoptions and community education, promoting a culture of care and responsibility. Our efforts have led to a decline in stray populations, increased community engagement, healthier animals, and more informed pet owners.

You can experience the Thai culture by going into the communities and dealing with the sick animals, gather experience in dealing with animals, how to prevent illnesses and the benefits of control population.
In your free time you can experience Thai boxing nights, temples, lovely beaches, markets and delicious local food, yoga.
Aide
VOLUNTEERING
Your first shift will be a day full of new impressions. You'll shadow an experienced volunteer to get the hang of things, and your tasks will include firstly feeding, then kennel cleaning, and dog walking. We usually have around 15-20 dogs and up to 5 cats. This includes our permanent residents, and animals that are with us for medical care.
TASKS
As a volunteer, you will be helping out with a variety of tasks, including:
-Feeding
-Cleaning
-Dog bathing
-Admitting animals for treatment
-Laundry
-Dog walking
-Assisting vets/vet nurses where necessary by holding animal during treatment/wound cleaning
OUR PATIENTS
Animals come to the organization through emergencies or scheduled appointments. Volunteers are responsible for greeting visitors, reporting to medical staff, booking appointments, checking animals in, and ensuring new patients are comfortable. These are our most common cases:
-Tick fever
-Bike/car accidents
-Skin conditions
-Sterilisations
-Animal fights/attacks

The rooms have a bed, cloths rack, table, drawers and a fan. Shared bathrooms and kitchen. No food provided.

Our clinic is located on the beautiful island of Koh Phangan. In your free time you can go on adventures hikes as well as gorgeous snorkel or diving tours or just enjoy a relaxed day on the beach. To discover the island, it is best to rent a scooter. Koh Phangan is also famous for its Full Moon Parties which take place on the other side of the island and also numerous other parties happening thought the weeks.
