  Description

  Hello !
  I'm a young agricultor installed few years ago with my girlfriend on an old vineyard in the south of France. We live here with our 2 years old daughter.
  
  We work on 10ha organic farm including 3ha of vines, 150 olive trees, some fruit trees, vegetable garden, chickens and a lit of forest around.
  
  We have started the vine activity not long time ago and we have an organic approach, so we do a lot of manual work instead of machines.
  
  The terrain is mountainous , rocky and very dry. We struggle with the water supply as it does not rain enough the last years.
  
  We live in a small stone house.
  There is a wooden cabin for a couple, then there is a lot of space for tents.
  
  The food we prepare is local, organic and mostly vegetarian.
  
  You should know and be ready that most of work here is physical and needs strength and determination.
  IMPORTANT when coming don't forget about taking long, light working clothes, head protection and safe, mountain shoes with you.
  
  Very windy place, it gives freshness during very hot in summer, but makes the soil dry also.
  During the dry summer season there is an extremely high FIRE RISK: people coming need to be aware and vigilant about it. No smoking near the forest or making a fire is possible.

  It's a lot of different things to do on the farm and some of them are seasonal , depending on climate and weather conditions.
  
  This way of living, far from cities, crowd and noise is the personal choice we made. We like calm and peace that nature gives us. We appreciate when people coming to our farm respect this values.

  Discovery of local products and the region, especially around wine, chestnuts, farm and village life in general.
  Living in the middle of a protected reserve, possibility of discovering the endemic fauna and flora proper to this ecosystem;
  Since we have also traveled a lot 5and did some volunteering and farm work outside), we have some stories and experience to share with others.
  For reading enthusiasts, we have a small library with mostly books about photography and ecological wining and gardening; we can also share this little knowledge with those who are interested.
  
  
  
  Découverte des produits du terroir et de la région, notamment autour de la cuisine, du vin, des châtaignes, de la vie à la ferme de manière générale ;
  Vivant au milieu d'une réserve protégée, possibilité de découvrir la faune et la flore endémique propre à cet écosystème ;
  On a également pas mal voyagé, et pour les curieux on garde quelques histoires et anecdotes de voyage plutôt sympathiques !
  Pour les amateurs de lecture, il y a une petite bibliothèque avec pour majeure partie des livres concernant la photographie et le jardinage écologique ; on peux également enseigner ce petit savoir en plus.

  Aide

  For now, we are looking for a someone (preferably a couple), to help with:
  - home tasks such as cleaning, cooking and general maintenance
  - feeding animals (chickens)
  - help in physical activities : specific tasks in the vines, chopping wood etc.
  - small constructions, such as an outside solar shower and a cooking place
  
  We are looking for people who are autonomous, independent and physicaly strong (at least one); with already some experience in those tasks.

  We share a little bathroom, waiting to set up dry toilets and a solar shower outside for the beautiful season.
  The kitchen is common, and the meals are a moment of relaxation, conviviality and sharing.
  
  Caban en bois ou camping en tente
  On partage la petite salle de bain, en attendant de mettre en place des toilettes sèches ainsi qu'une douche solaire à l'extérieur pour la belle saison.
  La cuisine est partagée, et les repas sont un moment de détente, de convivialité et de partage.

  The farm is located about 400m above sea level, in the middle of the protected reserve of "Les Maures", in Provence region.
  Located in the middle of nowhere and everywhere at once, you will find calm and peace.
  A natural spring comes from the ground, but sometimes it stops flowing in the summer season.
  The first village is about 10-15 minutes by car, and at 40 minutes you will find large cities like La Garde, Hyères or St Tropez by the sea.
  It's important to realize than we live on the hill where there is no public transport passing.
  
  La ferme est située non loin d'un col à environ 400m d'altitude, au milieu de la réserve protégée des Maures, en Provence.
  Située au milieu de nul part et partout à la fois, vous y trouverez le calme et la paix.
  Une petite source passe sur le terrain, mais il arrive qu'elle s'arrête de couler en saison estivale.
  Le premier village est à environ 10-15 minutes en voiture, et à 40 minutes vous trouverez des grandes villes comme La Garde, Hyères ou St Tropez en bord de mer.
  Il est important de réaliser que nous vivons sur la colline où il n'y a pas de transport public.
