Hello everyone,
We are a living community consisting of two German families in Piedmont / Northern Italy and are looking for a person who would like to create a learning space / homeschooling for our six children (5 to 14 years) and live with us for a while. We live close to nature and simply on a mountain pasture in Valchiusella. Gardening, building, natural horsemanship, yoga, creativity and a non-violent togetherness are just some of the life themes we share here. You always wanted to try out community, you love children and want to get closer to the topic of free learning / project learning and make real life experience in this field? You love nature and want to live away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a while? We offer you room and board and the opportunity to gain endless experiences! Come and live and learn with us ! We are looking forward to your lively application and to meeting you soon. For this job we offer also a 200€ per month pocket money.
The region we moved in was abandoned almost fifty years ago and now, with love and patience where we are renovating the house, taming brambles, working on the land, planting vegetabiles and trees and live with our animals and the people of the valley.
The region we are living in is beautiful!!
Surrounded by lushing green forests our farm with stunning view into the valley lies on three hectares of land.
A part is young forest, the other part meadows.
One of or big gift Is water.
Many little streams around us supply us with the freshest water from the mountains.
In summer it is possibile to swim in the bigger rivers nearby .
From our house you can start hikes into the mountains (up to 2400m ) or to the Valchiusella.
Nature is very beautiful up here!!!If you want to visit a city, Ivrea is approx. 20 km away, Milano and Torino accessible by train (2 and 1 hours respectively)
We have friends in the Valchiusella we sometimes meet for shared meals, making music, camp fires or sharings.
With the sanctuary we are wishing from our deepest hearts to bring more light, love, and gratefulness into the world and to enable every being to live a life in respect and dignity.
There will be shared meals every day (mostly vegetarian or vegan) often with fresh vegetables from the garden.

Since we are a developing project, you may learn to be flexible, to go with the flow, to give yourself to the situation. we are humans and we want to be connected. this is one of our biggest aims. you can learn how to bake bread, to cook on open fire, to do carpentry, working with (power and historical) tools, being with animals and some German.
You will spend your stay in a beautiful natural environment, with a lot of quiet, pure air, clean water, amazing sunrises, lots of sun (though sometimes we have longer rainy periods). You are going to have the chance to be together with our animal friends, who are our greatest example to live love unconditionally.
You will be integrated in our family which consists of two adults and two kids. Together we cook and eat, make sharing circles, meditations and hikes, celebrate pizza in our Italian pizza oven, camp fires, play music or parlour games, and do our daily activities and projects we plan together.
We are a German family but also speak English, Italian and Dutch.
The Vallchiusella is a spiritual place with many like minded people and cultural spots to visit.

Projects waiting for your creativity and passion. Your contribution can be finishing our new living room, guest room for visitors and upcoming Workawayer, building the platform for a yurt which will be meeting place and function room, bath and toilet house, gardening and many other little things
Ongoing tasks that you would also be able to join in includes gathering or making wood, tending the gardens, cooking/ cleanup, shopping, spending time with and/or teaching the children, harvesting, cooking preserves, and much more.

Hébergement
You will sleep in a Caravan with double bed and a little kitchen but mainly we will share kitchen, living room and outside bath room of the main house. For the sunny periods we do have the outside solar shower. We use compost toilets.
The life usually happens outside if the weather permits. Depending on the activities we either cook together or split up in teams. We usually share two meals together but this can be handled very flexible.
We recommend you to bring:
water proof shoes like rubber boots, hiking boots
head torch
rain jacket
working clothes
crocs

Fun things to do in the area include:
- hiking (our land borders on a national park and we are right at the foot of the Alpes, with closer peaks at 2400 m),
- mountaineering,
- mountain biking
- sight seeing (you will need a car for that, as the closest town is at a distance of about 10km. There are the surrounding towns of Castellamonte, Ivrea, Rivarolo, the great cities of Turin and Milan are at 1.5 and 2hrs driving distance respectively, and our region is famous for its villages with many pottery workshops, and not far from us is the spiritual community of Damanhur with its amazing Temples of Humanity),
- bathing in some of the cleanest mountain rivers Italy has to offer,
- shopping at the local weekly markets or flea markets,
- picking berries or mushrooms,
- bird watching
- sitting at the fire in the evening,
- star-gazing,

The path to our house is quite steep and sometimes muddy. Your camper shouldn be too big and if you have problems coming up, we can provide support with our 4WD.
