  **Preference for those looking to come for several months at a time so there is less upheaval for our little ones.**
  
  Hello! Thank you for checking out our profile. We are a family of four (Courtney, Devon, Stella and Joni) and our two little girls are 6 and 3. We also have a Boston terrier - Judge who is 12 and a bit temperamental so patience and comfort with senior dogs is a must.
  
  We live on a beautiful island 45 minutes outside of Vancouver, BC. Our house is approximately 200m from the ocean and it’s beautiful to swim/kayak/paddle board here much of the year (even winter swimming if you're up for a cold dip!). There is amazing hiking year round. You would have your own bedroom, plus a bathroom and kitchenette available although we intend to share cooking responsibilities.
  
  Our eldest, Stella is in grade 1 and goes to school at the local community school. Our youngest, Joni is in daycare 4 days/week and we require support for the days our youngest is not in care (Friday) in addition to scheduled teacher professional development days when the children are both off from daycare and school. Childcare days would be paid in addition to any date nights/evenings with both kids!*** We would also request support with sometimes getting the children to and from their activities (gymnastics, swimming, piano, pottery). A valid driver's license is therefore a prerequisite. We will make efforts to have our secondary vehicle available to you on evenings and weekends. Because this is not full time employment, we are open to people doing distance education or obtaining some other part time work; or just relaxing and enjoying what Bowen has to offer. Most of our previous workaway homestays have had no trouble securing other work helping other families with childcare, working at the daycare Joni attends which has numerous wonderful programs or alternatively at one of the local coffee shops.
  
  We are looking for assistance with light house keeping including laundry, picking up after the children, tidying up the kitchen after meals, occasional cooking and support in the mornings with getting the kids out the door (especially on the days one of us commutes to Vancouver, having someone come up and help with hair/teeth/breakfast is a big help. Additionally, there would be weekly tasks with some examples being: sorting through the clothes the children have grown out of or an organization project like tidying up the pantry or entryway.
  
  Mostly, we are looking for someone patient, kind, trustworthy, loving and fun to help take care of and explore the outdoors with our little ones! We are open to sharing our e-bikes, peloton, ski gear and anything else we can offer to afford you a fun Canadian experience!

  We live on Bowen Island, a beautiful, quiet, island 45 minutes outside of Vancouver, BC. Our house is just a few minutes walk from the nearest beach where you can swim/kayak/paddle board in summer. There is amazing hiking and biking year round. Vancouver is easily accessible by a 20 minute ferry ride that connections you to West Vancouver and runs hourly roughly 6am-11pm.

  Aide

  We are looking for someone to spend one day a week minimum (PAID) with our three year old daughter. We'd also like some help around the house with light housework. Everything else is negotiable and open to discussion as far as what you are hoping for with this experience.
