Description
We’re a small rural homestead nestled along the beautiful banks of the River Boyne, right in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Park near the historic Newgrange site. Life here is shared with a few friendly cats and dogs, thriving vegetable gardens, beehives, a fruit-filled orchard, and a lively mix of chickens, ducks, and geese that bring plenty of character to the place.
We’re passionate about sustainable living and always have a variety of fun and meaningful projects on the go—from eco-friendly building and upcycling to seasonal gardening and preserving food. If you enjoy being outdoors, getting hands-on, and learning new skills, this is a great place to experience rural life. You can help out in the gardens, care for the animals, work with bees, and learn how to cook, bake, and make jams and preserves.
We now also run a small B&B on the property, so you’ll likely cross paths and chat with guests during your stay. While you won’t be involved in cleaning, cooking, or preparing for the B&B side of things, we really value the friendly, communal atmosphere that comes from having everyone feel part of the space.
If you're looking for a peaceful, down-to-earth place to connect with nature and sustainable living, we’d love to welcome you to our riverside homestead in Co. Meath.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Living and sharing with the Family, we are multilingual. Our house is situated by the River Boyne in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Park and a short walk from Newgrange Visitor Centre, one of Ireland's 'must see' tourist sights.
We love to grow and eat yummy food. We'd be delighted to share all our knowledge on organic gardening, harvesting, cooking and baking. We bake, we make jams, cordials, pickles and harvest honey from our bees.
If you are interested to learn about our traditional building methods like whitewashing and willow builds using ecological and salvaged materials we'd be delighted to share this knowledge with you too.
In your free time, the local villages of Donore and Slane offer pubs with traditional music evenings and great food, sight seeing, historical walks, a museum, Slane Castle famous for its rock concerts etc. etc...
Wonderful opportunities for those interested in local history, river walks, photography, nature, art, languages, lots of fun and the good life.Aide « au pair »
