    Description

Hi, we're Pablo, Jessy, and Mela, a family from Mexico living in the state of Hidalgo, an hour from Mexico City.

We are looking for two excellent workaways to participate in our farm during the coming months of November and December.

We have a few projects we're about to start and would love someone who can help us: a vegetable garden project, fruit tree planting, composting, a biodigester, and much more.

Our family loves country life and is passionate about the idea of creating our own self-sufficient farm.

For three years, we've had a rabbit farm for meat production and some chickens for egg consumption. We're also working on building a small vegetable garden for our own consumption.

We're eager to see the results, as we'll have our own pool and oven to make the delicious Italian-style pizzas we learned to make on our trip.

This year, we have many exciting projects, and we'll definitely need a lot of help. We'd love to continue meeting people from different parts of the world and sharing what we have.

We've had the opportunity to volunteer in several countries, and it's undoubtedly been a unique and exciting experience. Now we want to share it and be wonderful hosts.

We also love visiting different places and exploring nature, getting to know nearby towns, and occasionally going camping and doing extreme activities. Of course, we'll invite you every week; we have different plans.

For these activities, the most important thing is enthusiasm and a desire to learn. If you're excited about living in a sustainable environment, exploring new places, and being part of this family, this is the ideal place.

We look forward to meeting you and having fun together!

We are a small family of three, but we have a large, welcoming family nearby, and we often spend weekends together in family gatherings. We love to explore nearby tourist spots, cities, and take breaks from time to time. We also enjoy mountain biking, and we have bikes for some fun routes.

Food is a big part of our lives, and we’re passionate about Mexican cuisine. We’re always on the lookout for new places to try different dishes, and if you know how to cook, we’d love for you to share the traditional food from your country with us, as well as join in on any activities you’re interested in.

Our community is friendly and welcoming, and we’re located one hour from both Mexico City and Querétaro. We’re also close to several beautiful “pueblos mágicos” (magical towns), like Tequisquiapan, Bernal, Mineral El Chico, and Huesca de Ocampo, all full of Mexican culture and charm. Once a month, we enjoy going on excursions to new natural places, doing outdoor activities, and sometimes engaging in extreme sports—feel free to join us if you’re up for the adventure!

We’re only 5 minutes away from the bus station, where you can access different destinations. Additionally, we offer language exchange as we’re eager to learn new languages, and we’d love to share our Spanish with you while you teach us yours.

    The farm's main activities are:

    Cleaning and feeding animals.
We are recently remodeling the back of the garden and need the help of someone with artistic talent and decorating ideas. They will help us plant shrubs, build a pergola, and, of course, we will be with you at all times and teach you how to use each tool.

We are in the process of becoming an eco-sustainable farm and need help with the family garden we will begin building.

Another activity we are looking to do is build a house for our chickens, as they are currently living in the cold in a large warehouse we own. We want to give them a better life, so we are looking to build a small chicken coop where our chickens will lay their eggs, which they will feed us daily.
