Our special two weeks with this gorgeous family was better than expected. We learnt new things from what it's like living in NZ from born and bread New Zealanders to hearing all about their amazing travelling stories.
We truly appreciate all they did for us from Kay doing her delicious meals to Jen telling us her inspirational story.

… read more warm, home from home experience, which was a lovely special way to end our 5/6 month trip around the other side of the world.
The jobs also allowed us to show our appreciation and we felt that although the jobs were small in nature we were able to make life for them alittle easier.
They really helped us solidated our dream/plan of going back to NZ for a longer period of time!!!!

Jennie, Greg, Rocco, and Lucy (the cat) were all amazing hosts!! They were incredibly welcoming from the minute we arrived in New Zealand, and made us feel at home in their beautiful abode. In so many ways they helped us get set up for our year here, and we cannot be more grateful. They even guided us in our journey to convert our van for our

Just a wonderful experience overall, and in a beautiful place! Nadia and Charlie stayed with us twice in Auckland and they were amazing! Really hard working, diligent and cared about the (menial!) jobs given! I spent just under three weeks with Jen, Greg and Rocco and i had a very relaxing time. The work i did was mainly helping to assist Greg with the house he was painting inside and out, i mainly did waterblasting and window and door covering. I wasn't an expert at either as it was my first time doing both but i was happy to do the work and learn new
… read more skills. I also did some gardening at the house which i thoroughly enjoyed. I spent the nights with the family and Jens mum Kay watching dancing with the stars and talking which was a really nice way to spend a night.
All in all Jennie and Greg are really lovely hosts, the meals are gorgeous, you have your own private caravan and bathroom and the work is never too difficult. Thankyou! Gustavo was an amazing guest - what incredible energy he has - always laughing and smiling and a pleasure tow have around. Staying here was the perfect way to wrap up my trip in New Zealand. After experiencing a lot of the country itself, this was my highlight of the local people. … read more own pace and when it was best for me. I got plenty of help from Greg too and feel a fair bit handier after my week. Jennie is always trying new meals and they always are delicious, I've now got a fair few ideas on how to liven up some classic dishes. Also, Rocco was fantastic! We shared a lot of the same interests and we had some good long chats, a very funny little guy too. They were welcoming enough to have me for a big Kiwi roast with more family members and they also gave me the time I needed to get all my last bits and pieces wrapped up before moving on in my travels. … read more we were pretty busy with different projects along with working our jobs - I would arrive home to a clean and tidy house and dinner made and other projects done - simply an amazing treat having her stay. She cooked,cleaned, sorted, did my laundry, waterblasted, gardened, helped with deck building, babysat and even ran errands. Our 9 yr son loved her and wants her to come back!! She has a bubbly, friendly and easy personality and I wouldn't hesitate in reccomommending Farrin for any workaway experience.
