Description
My husband, Dominik and me, Theresa came to Sao Miguel in 2020 and soon decided to stay and settle on this beautiful island. In 2021 we bought a house in the east of the island, in the village Povoacao. In march 2022 our daughter, Amaia was born and makes us happy every day. We enjoy being with people and share the beauty of this place. We live close (5 minutes walk) to the village of Povoacao where you find everything you need. In the village there are also 2 beaches to relax, swim, snorkel etc. From our house you look into the blue of the ocean and into the green of the Azorean nature. We would like to welcome you to live with us, find some relaxation as well as some meaningful projects. You could help us moslty with gardening (starting to plant veggies, harvest fruits, cutting plants that grow too wild), building projects, babysitting and cooking. We also appreciate if you share your own creative ideas on how to make this place even more beautiful, warm and colourful.

We like to speak and learn different languages. Theresa is also a teacher for german language, always happy to teach as well as to learn other languages (especially portuguese). In the village you can get to know azorean lifestyle and culture and enjoy several celebrations that are taking place quite often.

Aide
We´re looking for:
1) help in the garden, e.g. starting a bed for veggies, maintain the flower beds, cutting the plants that grow too wild, build a fence for plants to grow, harvest some fruits, tidy up the property
2) Play with our little baby girl
3) Cook
4) Help building a storage house and a rain gutter

I´m very curious about languages and would like to learn a few words and frases of languages that I don´t know yet. I´m especially interested in improving my portuguese by talking with other portuguese speakers.
Hébergement
We have an old stonehouse beside our house whith a bathroom, a kitchenet and a double bed. If needed/wanted we can provide two seperate beds or add an additional bed. There is also a lot of space in the garden to camp.

During your time off you can enjoy the life in the village, go to the beach or pool or do a beautiful hike. You can also explore other parts of the island our enjoy a bath in the hot springs (20 minutes by car).

2 brother cats that are very curious about humans, seeking for love and attention. They live indoor and outdoor. If you are allergic it might be a problem,because they also go inside the guestroom.
