Description
Hi I live in a cottage with a quarter acre garden and polytunnel. I recently closed my Raw Vegan Cafe in Westport, Co. Mayo. (voted the best place to live in Ireland 2012) due to a physical injury. Our home is approx 10 miles east of Westport. We lived in Italy for two years before returning to Ireland in Aug 2012. My kids went to Italian school and can speak the language but are a bit rusty at the moment. The position at the Cafe is no longer available.

During our time away,my beautiful garden and polyunnel suffered neglect and indeed damage due to strong winds. I used to grow most veg, fruit and strawberries to die for!!!.I have begun to re landscape, polytunnel repositioned, and will soon be making raised beds for vegi garden. A new garden is in development so some digging and stone walls need building up. I would like to be able to supply some cafes with my own produce. 2017. I would really require someone who has a genuine interest and some knowledge in this area of work. For this exchange to work efficiently I would require a minimum stay of one month, longer would be more suitable for the right person. One would need to be comfortable living in the country side and take initiative in seeing sights on days off.

Food, (what we as family eat) accommodation will be supplied in exchange for 5 hours work x 5 days. Westport is a very friendly town with lots of artists and plenty of music, both traditional and contemporary. Castlebar a town 15 mins by car east of Westport has a great Arts centre, The Linen Hall. The west of Ireland has a lot to offer in the area of water sports, for keen outdoor lovers. I cannot take responsibility for driving workaways to various points of interest as my work and home schedule is very full.
