  Description

  My name is Fernando, I 'm a retired, I uded to work in the Spanish company who manages the air traffic control. I studied Naval Architecture and a master of Science and Technology of Materials, worked as an engineer.
  
  I speak currently English, French and Italian. My mother tongue is Spanish. I become ELE teacher some years ago since I volunteered teaching Spanish to newcomers when in Spain
  
  I have been involved as a volunteer with children and teens, education and leisure, my whole life. I have volunteered in Spain and abroad: Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador and especially Nepal and Bolivia, sometimes alone and sometimes with my son who is not living at home any more. Most of my facebook friends are people I met when volunteering, that time children, now, adults. Actually, I only use facebook to be in contact through messenger with them.
  
  Lately, from December 2017, when I joined workaway, to today. I have had some nice experiences as a workwayer and as a host
  
  When I have time, I like reading, a good conversation, movies, hiking, cooking, eating, travelling, languages, ...
  
  The person who will come will share time with an easygoing and reliable adult He /she will improve, or start to learn, Spanish, enjoy Madrid, learn to cook some Spanish, Thai, Indian and Nepali, Italian pasta recipes...
  
  The workwayer will help me to move and pack since I'm planning to move to another apartment
  
  I need also help when in my new house in France.. The house is a three bedroom one in a 4000m² piece of land. The closest villages, Gardonne et Saint Avit-Saint Nazaire, are 5k m away. The Dordogna river about 1km.
  
  
  I have some projects in my mind, so extra help is always a welcome relief. The type of help would be with tending a new vegetable garden, weeding, gardening, DIY and entertaining projects (painting, sanding...) moving some stuff, cleaning...Better if you can drive a hand gear car but not really important
  
  I'm very flexible about helping hours. In return for five hours help per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room . Your room is upstairsn (both places) There are two rooms, one of the with a 140 cm bed and another with bunk beds (90cm) and a bathrooms serving them. So it's possible to welcome a solo helper, a couple and even a small family. If you prefer you can park your camper in the premises.
  
  When in Madrid or in the countryside if you help fir 25 hours per week, I will provide food, which you can cook or share my cooking or we can cook together. If you prefer, you can help 15 hours per week and you'll get accommodation and access to the kitchen.
  
  It's recommended to have your own car or motorbike when in the countryside
  There is a train station in Gardonne, 5km from home. I could drive you there if needed.
  
  I'm willing to accept pets when in the countryside (if they are friendly) but not in Madrid . They will be not allowed in the house, only outdoors
  
  If you want the night life, Madrid is your place but probably not when in France. The closest place with some night life is
  Bergerac . If you want the quiet life and listen to the birds singing, walks in the country and good views then this may be the ideal place

  About meal, we can discuss and get an agreement
  
  As a general rule, I will provide the breakfast food which you will normally have on your own at a time to suit yourself or we can have together. Lunch will be around 1300 hours which we will all eat together and dinner will be around 2000 hours which again we will all eat together. I'm a sociable person and actively encourage conversation and cultural exchange especially at meal times as this this is as equally important to the meal as the food. Vegetarian diets will cause me some problems but. believe that it can be solve if you are willing to help yourself about cooking and shopping
  
  I normally flexible about helping hours.
  You will be responsible for keeping your loving area clean and tidy especially when leaving

  She/he can enjoy Madrid, an open city with plenty of cultural events and leisure and other places around asToledo, Segovia,... learn Spanish.
  
  When in the French countryside you can visit nice villages.with a lot of cultural events, relax in the swimming pool (depending on the weather)

  What I need is somebody who help me about cooking and shopping, householding. Other kind of help in the house would be very light, especially to keep his/her place tidy and help to keep clean and tidy the common areas. Easy shopping and cooking. General maintenance stuff, for example, to hang again a frame that has fallen down. May be to take picture to try to sell some stuff I don't need any more. Help to pack since I want to wide the flat

  The flat is a duplex penthouse belonging to property which has a summer swimming pool, a paddle court and a garden with a children playground area. It is next to the airport in a green and quite area, next to a big park. It is well linked to the city centre through subway and bus. It is a very consolidated area with all kind of facilities: shops, library, sports areas, gym, winter swimming pool, courts for different sports: tennis. golf,...
  
  In France is a two stored house with private swimming pool if is in the middle of grapes fields.
