Description
We are an italian family that lives in a small, beautiful plot of land between Altamura (Puglia) and Matera (Basilicata). We harvest fruit and vegetables for self-sufficiency, we don't sell. We are located in Alta Murgia, a UNESCO Geopark full of unique flora and fauna. We tend an olive grove, some fruit trees, and grow veggies. We would love to start restoring this little piece of land in a regenerative way, and get some animals again (we used to have some). Near our house there is a tiny forest, nested between two hills, and a XII century old fountain that waits to be restored.
We are Michele, Mimmo and Irene (Michele's parents). We also have three cute dogs (Max, Bianca and Frida) who roam around and will guide you on a nice walk around the hills.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Echange culturel et opportunités d'apprendre
You will be able to get a cultural exchange with Michele, who has lived in the UK and other countries for about 10 years, get to know regen farmers from around the area, connect with organic farms and projects that Michele can shw you. You will be also invited to have a look at the beautiful gems of Puglia and Basilicata, including Matera (UNESCO site), Pulo di Altamura, Bari, and so on. In return, it would be great to have you sharing some of your cultural heritage, like cooking something together.
Aide
We need help with harvesting and processing olives to make EVO oil. Here you can expect to learn about olive groves, harvesting techniques, share some nice meals, and have a quiet space into a beautifully nested house near a historical town famous for its Bread (Altamura).
