Description
I am a writer and digital creator working remotely in the horse industry. I live on a 41-hectare farm in the middle of France. Although the property has a very rural feel as it is mainly contained within the meander of La Gartemps river there is a main road with easy access to the surrounding towns.
At the moment there are 9 horses here. Four are 2-year-old Belgian Warmbloods, my Warmblood stallion who kindly lets me show jump with him, a naughty Welsh, a naughtier Shetland, and 2 beautiful mares who are not mare-like at all. One is a retired American Trotter and the other is a Trotter/Welsh cross.
If the Workawayer has a decent level of riding ability then they are welcome to ride with me. My horses are ridden bitless, understand voice requests, and are very attuned to being ridden with the rider's weight and energy influencing speed and direction. There will be no pulling of heads or kicking of sides on my watch. 🙂
My job increasingly requires me to take video footage of myself riding or working with the horses. I am finding this very difficult on my own with just a phone and a tripod. Riding and talking to my phone stuck at the end of a selfie stick is possible but the videos created lack professionalism. So I thought perhaps some creative person out there who loves horses might like to help me out for a few weeks or months.
It is 100% necessary that the person who comes here loves horses and working with social media.
It is 100% necessary that the person has their own transport.
I think this environment would suit someone over 30 better than a teen or young adult.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

If the person loves horses, then I can offer gentler alternatives on how to work with these amazing creatures. I can also teach them French or English in a way that is far simpler than the methods used in schools and normal language courses.

I am seeking someone with videography and photography skills to film me as I ride my horses. It is preferred that the person is used to being around horses in a gentle, non-forceful manner as my horses roam freely about the property. It would also be helpful if the person has editing skills but this is not essential. I am also in the middle of creating an app so if you have experience with that sort of thing I will have loads of stuff for you to do. 😁

I speak English and French fluently (ish 😁) and have a smattering of Dutch which I would love to learn to speak fluently.Hébergement
I prefer Workawayers who have their own camper or motorhome. OR, those with their own transport who have no problems with extremely basic accommodation in a room in the house. As I am on a tight budget meals will be very simple.
Autres infos...
The nearest town is about 10kms away which has all the usual things like cinema, bars, restaurants, shops etc. I can only take those with their own transport as I only have a motorbike. I have learned that teenagers and those in their early 20s are probably not going to be happy here unless they are extremely used to rural life already. But if you like horses, trees, rivers, and birds, you will probably feel quite at home.
