Tania and Phill, even though we met for a very limited time before I had to leave the house and hand over the keys, they were excellent house guests! The dogs were happy, the house was left immaculate and we had great communication throughout. They respected every "house rule" and kept the house as if it was their own. Totally recommend!! Thank

We staid 6 weeks at Maria's house and had a very good time there! The place is very peaceful amongst the nature, we usually walked around and sometimes we went a bit further by car.

We had Maria for a month and she was super great with our pets! She was playing every day with them and dogs really like her. I spent the month of September at Maria's place and had a lovely time :) The house is sitting in a secluded area surrounded by olive trees. Every day I would wake up to the fantastic view of Taygetos mountains - and it sure made its way into my drawings! Maria has been a wonderful host, always accommodating, helpful and super generous. … read more together we enjoyed a couple trips to Sparti, walks in nearby nature and of course a few souvlakis for lunch when out in town. I fell in love with the dogs - they are all unique with their own fun personalities, favourite games, ways to communicate, ways to cuddle. We had a blast every day when playing together - their enthusiasm is contagious! The candid photos I took of them still make me smile, and I would be amiss not to mention the cats of course. Apart from looking after animals (and occasional help around the house), I had the rest of the day to myself. Maria's place is ideal for an independent person who is happy to structure their own routine. The apartment is perfectly comfortable and has all the amenities one could ask for. Saying that, I spent majority of my time hanging around the seating area underneath a beautiful olive tree in the garden. If you are looking for a peaceful time surrounded by quietness of Greek nature and love from very special furry friends, this is your place.
I stayed with Maria for a little over a month, and it was a one-of-a-kind experience. I had a marvelous time that I won’t forget anytime soon.

I must also highlight my amazing and helpful host, who made my stay even more enjoyable. Maria is an easygoing and friendly person who knows how to respect everyone’s boundaries.
One of my key responsibilities was taking care of dogs, which I really enjoyed. The dogs were super friendly and well-behaved.
Overall, I appreciate the opportunity to be in such a lovely place and am grateful for the experiences I had.
It was so awesome to have Alex with us! We enjoyed every minute. He was reliable and we have felt totally secure leaving him with our dogs! We spent time together talking and we went see places around. He is a cool guy and we want to thank him for the time he spent with us :)

Gabi, is an independent woman which you can totally trust!
We felt safe leaving her with our dogs and the house. She is also simple person and nice to chat with. Oud dogs of course love her and she treat them really nice. She is capable to manage any task and we really thank her for the time she spent here with us!

Now it's been 2 weeks since I accompanied maria and her lovely dogs. The place is really secluded in the middle of the wild beautiful nature easily in the mountains, where at night the wild boars and jackals say good night to each other. Don't worry - the property is completely fenced and well guarded by dogs ;-)).

… read more gave me the finest tips on what else nearly I can explore. anyway you can have everything you need from her, super warm and hospitable. I had the advantage of having a little papaki, so I was mobile. The next village Kastorio (7km) is worth seeing and there is everything you need... Taverns, supermarket, bakery, nice people etc. And just around the corner is a great nature trail with a torrent - wonderful cooling.
From the second week I was alone with the doggies for almost 2 weeks and took each one of them fully into my heart. Together they are also very easy to care for and a colorful group - all of them nice characters. Because it was very hot in July (that might be different in other month) we spent the day indoors, the dogs mainly sleep and you can do what you want. I work online and that was a perfect fit to get a few things done. In the morning and evening I played with the dogs. There is a fine sunset that lets the day end in a chilled way.
If you like dogs, nature and finding peace and tranquility with you and all around you, you will find this in marias place. 3 weeks, first workaway station, perfect start 💜

I stayed with Maria for 2 months. This was my first workaway experience, so I wasn't sure what to expect and what was really expected of me. … read more heart for both humans and animals, and as cool as one can possibly be.
For anyone interested in staying with Maria:
- You'll spend most of your time around the house with beautiful scenic views from the garden, many olive trees, and the aforementioned dogs, who will be your most loyal and trusted company during your stay.
- You don't really have a lot of work to do for Maria, so you are really free to spend your time as you wish. I for example played with the dogs everyday after work, hung out in the hammock, read a lot, played games with my friends online and enjoyed the time by myself. Which helped me discover a lot of things about myself
- You will probably go shopping once or twice a week with Maria, as it takes some time to reach the grocery store. So, make a list of the items you want or need.
- WiFi is always available and stable, but I wouldn't recommend grinding your CS:GO or LOL rank there. I mean, you could, but it's still Greece, you know. Anything else works great. You can work, stream, and browse the web without any problems.

I just spent one whole month in Maria’s house. It was my first experience in Work-away. Usually I prefer to discover one place and only then, ask the owner if there is a way to make a fair exchange of work vs hospitality.

… read more encounter Maria. She is lovely, very attentive, and made my stay there feel beter than if it was my own house. Her four dogs are so nice, the contact between me and them was instantanious, they accepted me as a part of the house in an instant. I just love them all.
The house was way beter than I expected. I had my own privacy, which is very important for me. I’m an independant man and I love that Maria respected that very carefully. I hope I did the same with her. That doesn’t mean that we weren’t there for each other. Always trying to please the other one with a good morning coffee, a nice luch or a more elaborated meal at night. She always try to make me feel at home and she was there when I needed something specific (like a ride to buy food, some advices for my trekking trips, bus shedules,…). On my side, even if she asked very little of me, I tried to be there for her when she needed me.
I wish I had more time in my travel to be there because it felt really good to live in this place. For my first experience in the whole workaway adventure, I could not expect something beter.
