Description
We are interested in a cultural exchange with positive and energetic people who share our vision of healthy living in the country.
We have retired from active farming and are keeping our animals now only as a hobby and for fun. We would still like a helper or two to help us with our animals (a few goats and a couple of funny geldings) and around our private property, home and garden. It’s usually light work.
We do not allow illegal drugs and we do not accept smokers.

We have a separate house on our private property where we accommodate our guests.

We pick up at the Greyhound Station in Valdosta and the airport in Valdosta, Georgia. The area has many historical sites, hiking opportunities, bicycling trails, and swimming in blue springs. Antique shops are abundant. You will have plenty of time for recreation and fun.

Thomas was a great addition to the farm, willing to jump in anywhere and at any time. We had fun making and cutting soap together. Julia is a generous host and farmer. She's very deliberate in making sure that workers understand all of the aspects of the farm and how a goat dairy works. This was one of the greatest things that I have done in my lifetime. Julia and Wayne's energy is limitless! I worked in the dairy so I milked the goats, bottled the milk, made cheeses and yogurt for the market. I was there for 3 months so I got to meet some wonderful people as the came and went. Oliver stayed with us for a short week during his travels, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. He has a very positive attitude, gets along and was absolutely willing to jump in wherever needed. Wishing you good luck with your travels and hope that our paths will cross again.

Life on this farm is always busy with lots of things to accomplish each day. I was thinking to stay a month and ended up staying 3 1/2.
