  Hello!
  
  I, Diane, am originally from France but I have been living in Portugal for the past 37 years. I'm calm and easy-going people who enjoy tranquility. I actively practice non-violent communication.
  
  I live in a beautiful family house in the Beira Alta region. This is where I grow our vegetable garden and take care of the olive grove. I have one dog, two cats and some chickens wandering around the garden.
  
  The children are now adults and far from home, so all the help is precious for the different tasks that the house and land require.
  
  The biggest dream is to create biodiversity in this area that is frequently threatened by the summer wildfires by planting trees, creating a forest-garden and nourishing the earth in full consciousness.
  
  I am now looking for who to share my daily life with, in harmony.

  Eu, Diane, sou originalmente francesa mas vivo em Portugal há mais de 37 anos. Sou calme e gosto de tranquilidade. Também sou praticante de comunicação não violenta.
  
  É na casa de família na Beira Alta onde cultivo uma horta e cuido do olival. Tenho um cão, dois gatos e algumas galinhas que passeiam livremente pelo jardim.
  
  Agora que os filhos estão longe, toda a ajuda é preciosa para as diversas tarefas que a casa e as terras exigem.
  
  O maior sonho é criar biodiversidade numa zona ameaçada constantemente pelos incêndios florestais ao plantar árvores, criar uma horta-floresta, nutrir a terra, sempre em plena consciência.
  
  Procuro com quem partilhar o meu quotidiano em harmonia.

  We offer the opportunity to speak and practice Portuguese and French, while being part of a traditional family house of the region.
  
  The house is located in a small village where the traditional Serra cheese is produced overlooking the three mountains: Serra da Estrela, Serra do Açor and Serra do Caramulo. Here there are excellent opportunities for hiking and meeting shepherds.
  
  During the month of olive picking, you will get the chance to follow the process of artisanal production of olive oil.

  Oferecemos a oportunidade de falar e praticar português e francês, integrando uma casa de família tradicional da Beira Alta.
  
  A casa está localizada numa pequena aldeia onde se produz o queijo da Serra com vista para as serras da Estrela, do Açor e do Caramulo. Aqui existem excelentes oportunidades para fazer caminhadas indo ao encontro dos pastores.
  
  Durante o mês da apanha da azeitona, há também a oportunidade de acompanhar o processo de produção artesanal do azeite.

  Aide

  The tasks mainly depend on the time of the year.
  
  In autumn/winter i give priority to olive picking, gardening and planting trees.
  
  During spring/summer, i mainly need help with the vegetable garden, making marmelade and jam as well as conserving fruits/vegetables.
  
  However, there are tasks that are transversal throughout the whole year, such as: taking care of the house, the animals and any other small project that can arise depending on the need.
  
  Meals are cooked and enjoyed together.

  As tarefas dependem principalmente da época do ano.
  
  No outono/inverno damos prioridade à apanha da azeitona, à horta e à plantação de árvores.
  
  Durante a primavera/verão, precisamos principalmente de ajuda com a horta, a fazer marmeladas e compotas, e ainda a conservar as frutas e legumes.
  
  No entanto, existem tarefas que são transversais a todo o ano, como: cuidar da casa e dos animais ou ainda outros pequenos projetos que possam surgir consoante a necessidade do sonho.
  
  As refeições são preparadas e apreciadas em conjunto.

  Hébergement

  On the last floor of our house we have single rooms that belong to the now absent children. There is a bathroom shared between volunteers and kitchen shared by all.

  No último andar da nossa casa de granito temos quartos individuais que pertencem aos filhos agora ausentes. Há uma casa de banho compartilhada entre os voluntários e uma cozinha compartilhada por todos.

  There are bikes available and there is a bus that takes you to the nearest city.
  
  We live close to good hiking trails and depending on the time of the year, there are great river beaches in the mountain to swim.

  Há bicicletas disponíveis e existe um autocarro que leva à cidade mais próxima.
  
  Vivemos perto de bons trilhos para caminhadas e, conforme a época do ano, existem óptimas praias fluviais nas serras para se refrescar.
