Come help me get ready for winter. Firewood and other festivities
Life is good now in the laurentian mountains.
I need help starting the new garden so seeding transplanting moving mulch and dirt ect. If you like to garden! Also trying to finish animal pen for future sheep? Taking down old wood shed and reusing the wood. I will be working off the homestead a lot on clients gardens this spring So ideally people who are self motivated and can work alone.
people who like to cook! Most of the work will be gardening and firewood wood harvesting and storage. And cleaning organizing the property. Basic construction experience a plus. Currently the cabin is free but that might change otherwise there is a spare room in the house

I live on 18 acres of wild old growth Laurentian forest about an hour from Montreal in Wentworth Nord. I love to teach about plants and the local forest animals and birds. I am also developing sylvopasture systems to one day have larger animals,like pigs and sheep/goats. I work with permaculture garden methods and after about ten years here it provides a good example of what it takes to start a homestead in the forest. Along with friends and family I built the house in 2010, and I am still clearing land.

Morin Heights and St Sauveur are very close by and i could provide rides to these villages as well as occasional trips to further towns like Montreal. I have a lake across the road and many acres of forest to explore.
