Description
My husband and I recently moved to Hornby Island and have a gorgeous home on the ocean in a highly desirable resort area. We are looking for someone who can help us out with work on the property and in the house. We have a large vegetable garden and greenhouse which we would also appreciate help.

We know the island well as we have lived there many years. Hornby is well known as a place that values protecting the environment. We practice organic gardening and are very involved with the community. We also are very interested in other cultures and love hearing about travel experiences.

Aide
We rent part of our house out during the summer months and run a B&B during the rest of the year. We have 3 acres of property with a separate vegetable garden in a community garden (organic). There is always lots of work to do around here - small building projects, helping with maintenance of a vacation rental cottage, painting, gardening, etc.

When we are not doing a B&B, the accommodation would be a separate guest cottage. Otherwise, there would be a separate Suite with a queen bed and kitchenette.

Hornby is a stunning island with a population of about 1000. It is home to many potters, painters, jewellers, weavers, etc. It is 2 ferry rides from Vancouver Island. The closest airport is at Comox on Vancouver Island.

I stayed with Kevin for about two weeks helping him around the house and in the vegetable garden. Joyce was on a holiday so I didn't get the chance to meet her.
Their house is beautiful and located at a cliff overlooking a bay. Doesn't really get better than that.
