  Description

  Our home is a small family farm where volunteers become part of our daily life. We welcome people who enjoy nature, animals and working outdoors. Most stays are 7–10 days during spring and summer.
  
  Volunteers usually help around 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week, leaving plenty of time to relax or explore the surrounding area. Tasks vary depending on the season, weather and current projects.
  
  We believe in working together, sharing meals and creating a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. We enjoy introducing our guests to Icelandic country life and, when possible, sharing activities such as walks or horseback riding.

  We enjoy sharing Icelandic family life with our guests. Workawayers are welcome to join us for home-cooked meals, spend time with our family, and experience everyday life on a small Icelandic farm. Depending on the season and weather, we may go horseback riding, walk with our dogs, or explore the beautiful countryside nearby.
  
  We are happy to share our knowledge of gardening, caring for horses and other animals, simple DIY projects, and making homemade pesto and jams. If you are interested, we are always happy to explain how we live and work on our farm.
  
  Hosting people from different countries is a wonderful opportunity for us to learn about other cultures, traditions, languages, and ways of life. We enjoy exchanging ideas and experiences and hope every guest leaves with great memories of Iceland while we learn something new from them as well.

  We offer a comfortable private bedroom in our family home with access to a shared bathroom, kitchen, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are provided, and we want our guests to feel safe, comfortable, and at home during their stay.
  
  We provide breakfast and one hot home-cooked meal each day. The kitchen and refrigerator are always available if you would like to prepare additional meals or snacks. Coffee, tea, and basic kitchen essentials are provided.
  
  Our home is located on a peaceful small farm, about 40 minutes from Reykjavík, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic countryside, horses, dogs, and a large garden.

  Our farm is located in the peaceful Icelandic countryside, about 40 minutes from Reykjavík. On your days off you can explore nearby beaches, enjoy beautiful hiking trails, visit small coastal villages, or take a day trip to Reykjavík or the Golden Circle. Public transport is limited, but we are happy to help you with information about getting around.
  
  We appreciate a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where everyone helps keep the house clean and treats each other with respect. We enjoy spending time together, but we also respect everyone's privacy and free time.
  
  If you love nature, animals, gardening and experiencing everyday Icelandic family life, we think you will enjoy staying with us.

  We have reliable Wi-Fi, and remote work may be possible alongside your stay. However, we expect volunteers to be available during the agreed helping hours. If you are a digital nomad, please let us know in advance so we can make sure the schedule works well for both of us. Good communication and flexibility are important to us.
