Hi!
We are a family of three myself and my two kids ages 8 and 7. I am looking for a female who is non-smoking, self motivated, outgoing, detail oriented and loves children. Ideally someone that has childcare experience or who just loves kids. Must speak fairly fluent English (so the kids are able to communicate with you). I absolutely love it when you bring your culture into our home whether it be through language, music, cooking or the arts. The kids especially enjoy it too! You must also enjoy gardening, house cleaning, dog walking (Frida) our super sweet little frenchie and helping out in the kitchen but primarily help with the children would be first and foremost. We live in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. There are beaches, rivers, lakes, ocean, gardens, trails, mountains and much more. Our new home is within walking distance to a grocery store, trails, the best coffee shop, many playgrounds and on the major bus route. Home cooked meals are vegetarian/vegan. You will be included in all our family activities on the weekends and/or are welcome to go explore as you wish on your time off. We are a fun loving, outdoor adventuring, laid back family. My mom has a ten acre horse farm with horses, goats and dogs which we spend a lot of time at too. You would be invited to join us on these getaways. Her farm is in Coombs. I have been a part of workaway and other hosting platforms online for years now and everyone always enjoys cooking with me and learning new recipes. I love creating in the kitchen! You may also learn something new about plants, gardens, and endless learning opportunities from the two little kids haha. You will get a chance to enjoy my moms farm with all the animals too! Our guests really love spending time with us and going on all our adventures. Yes, you are here to work but you are also here to experience all that our family, Vancouver Island and its surroundings has to offer you. We look forward to getting to know you!

Aide
I am looking for help mainly with the children so someone that loves kids and enjoys playing with kids, engaging in board games, card games, arts and crafts, puzzles, going to the pool, climbing gym, outdoor adventures etc. Also help with keeping the house clean and yard. There would be some help required in the kitchen being my sous chef prepping dinners and cleaning up the kitchen after dinners.

Hébergement
You will have your own private bedroom and a shared bathroom. My house is a newly renovated rancher just out of town and with a nice big backyard. We live in a very safe neighborhood with walking trails nearby. A bus route is very close by too. We are also within walking distance to some amenities.

In your free time there is lots to do and explore. Vancouver Island has so much to offer. There are lots of great local beaches, lakes and rivers for swimming in the summer. There's endless hiking trails too all over the island and our area specifically. You would have access to a bike. I am always happy to drive you anywhere locally too if there is a specific activity you wish to partake in on your own. There is also a local bus system. There is the opportunity to rent a car locally if you wanted to drive north on your time off and go explore northern Vancouver Island, Tofino and/or go check out Victoria which is a beautiful city! There are buses to get you to most destinations on the island too. I am very flexible in making sure you also get to see and do what you want while you are staying with us.
