Description
Hello lovely people
I am injecting life and love into an old traditional Cretan stone house.
It's in a beautiful area called the Apokoronas and the nearest city is Chania.
The International airport is in Chania and I can pick you up from there no problem.
I have come a long way from 2021 when I first came here but need help!
I am not here all the time but at least its quite comfortable now.
I have a little spare room separate from the main house for guests/workawayers.
Its very quiet here, no traffic only my sometimes noisy Greek neighbour!
The bathroom and toilet are in an outhouse with a hot gas shower.

I can show you the area and my friends here. I can pick you up from the airport
I love to swim in good weather and so often I take my motorcycle in summer to head for a swim...
I can teach and show you a lot of building skills I have learnt over the years if you ever wanted to restore an old house one day!

I need help with cooking..I am mostly veggie but hopeless!
Cleaning the house , stone wall building, moving stones, outside plastering.(I can show you) , concreting paths, creating a garden and more stuff!
I have a workshop with lots of tools as i am an ex woodwork teacher. I can teach you skills if you want in lots of areas.
I love to upcycle!...the bins here in Crete have provided all sorts of useful things, All my windows are found in bins and adapted and restored. There were no glass windows in my house when I bought it.

You will be sleeping in the old wine room.
Its a separate building with power but quite tiny and rustic. It has a comfy double bed and space for your clothes.
Bathroom is also rustic and shared in another building.
The main house is a shared space for watching movies, reading, eating,emailing, writing or just relaxing.

There is a network of walking trails in this area.
I have a mountain bike for you to borrow.
An old motor scooter if you can get it going lol.

She was here for 1 month and not only did she work hard but was awesome company too.
She kept the house clean, cooked meals and came up with some great ideas for projects around the property.
She was happy to try out new skills and worked diligently and with great care on everything she did.
