  Description

  I (30F) moved over to New Zealand from Canada in 2022 and met my partner, Juan (34M), here. He came to New Zealand in 2019 from South Africa. We both love traveling and trying new adventures across the country, so we can make heaps of recommendations on things to do all around NZ!
  
  We recently bought a house in Raumati South, which we plan to do some landscaping and maintenance on. Raumati is a special place for us due to its proximity to beautiful beaches, Wellington, and because of the wonderful lifestyle it offers.

As passionate travellers, we love getting to know people from diverse backgrounds, bringing fresh perspectives, and stories. We look forward to learning from you as much as we share about our lives, traditions, and adventures across New Zealand.
  
  We also live very close to the beach and are a short walk away from the Raumati village where there are shops and a few restaurants, allowing for social exchanges. We can also help with transport to/from the train station into Wellington should you wish to explore. We golf regularly too and are happy to bring you along if you want to experience where we’ve found community!

  Aide

  Some mix of gardening/landscaping, housekeeping, and/or house sitting. We are flexible, but our priority at this point is the gardening.
  
  Landscaping: We have a reasonable size garden space, which we are looking to make more functional. At this stage, this is seeing us digging up some existing plants to make way for new ones in the spring.
  
  Housekeeping: Vacuuming, tidying up, laundry, grocery shopping/cooking (guidance provided).
  
  Housesitting: Our travels occasionally take us out of town for short periods of time. We’d appreciate having someone around to watch over the house (and possibly a dog in the future).

  We have a double bedroom available in our home with a queen bed and private ensuite (shower, sink, toilet).
  
  My partner and I are the only others living in the 3-bedroom house, but we do have a separate self-contained bnb on the front of the property.
  
  We tend to make large batches of meals ahead of time and repeat throughout the week. If we are around, we are quite happy to factor you into this planning and if you have dietary restrictions, we can do our best to accommodate. It’s also something we can discuss based on the person/preferences.
