  Description

  Hello, hi, my name is Anita. My son and I live in a restored Mill in rural north-west France. We are the middle of a forest, with a lake and springs bursting from the lush ground. Our neighbor is a softly rolling river transforming into "the devil's rocks" with mysterious, giant boulders lower down. I am a filmmaker and screenwriter, mostly of animated feature films. Long term dreams are: artists residence, building a treehouse, hobbit rooms and sky passages fit for a mystical garden circus. We want to learn about permaculture and use eventually generate electricity from the watermill. We have three sheep, and a black cat. This will be a place to recharge and fill up to the brim with inspiration.

  Travelers can enjoy the space, the forest, the local food, steam-punk festival in September, ocean 25 minutes away. We can exchange ideas, experiences, and stories. I was born in the USSR and lived in 4 other countries before settling in Brittany, France. I'm a Senior TED fellow and the screenwriter of an Oscar-nominated feature. But what is truly important is this: we need to think of new narratives to shape the story of the future, of new and open definitions on what it means to be human in the time when humanity faces transitions with unforeseeable outcomes. I want to contribute to the dialogue as a storyteller, imagining possible futures and creating a new global mythology to be shared around the world.

  Aide

  Currently I need help clearing the road and cooking. In the spring, there will be gardening. At times we travel and need someone to look after our cat, sheep and goats, which is very simple, as they are mostly self sufficient.

  The village center is 8 minutes away by car. The home is accessible by an 800-meter dirt road, so we are quite isolated. The nearest town, with a train station, is 15 minutes away. There are buses and blablacar ride-shares, and we can pick people up. The ocean is 25 minutes away. There are plenty of festivals, markets, artists and artisans nearby, as well as a vibrant music scene and great food.
