Description
We are a community based association located in the Cordillera Escalera, in Progreso village (San Martín, Peru). We promote the conservation of Amazon forests, ecosystem restoration, and the strengthening of local capacities, fostering community-based ecotourism as a strategy for sustainable development.
Our territory covers more than 722 hectares of high biodiversity, home to emblematic species such as the jaguar, outstanding scenic landscapes, and a strategic role in water conservation for nearby communities. As a volunteer, you will be able to join these initiatives and directly contribute to Amazon forest conservation, while strengthening local capacities and learning from a community-based management model.
In addition, you will enjoy a unique experience exploring the Progreso Waterfalls Ecotourism Circuit, where you will visit six waterfalls in the heart of the Amazon, combining nature, learning, and community connection.
Join us and contribute to the conservation of one of the most important ecosystems on the planet while experiencing a truly transformative journey.

We are looking for committed, proactive people with genuine interest in conservation and community ecotourism. The participation of volunteers is key to strengthening our local initiatives, which is why we value responsibility, openness to learning and respect for culture and the natural environment.
Volunteers can be involved in various activities, depending on their skills, interests and current needs:
• Ecological restoration: support in vivariums, plant production and reforestation days with native species.
• Maintenance of natural infrastructure: cleaning and improving interpretive paths, basic signage and adapting spaces for visitors.
• Environmental monitoring: support in basic biodiversity recording activities (according to experience), use of simple tools such as field sheets or monitoring in the review of trap cameras.
• Community ecotourism: monitoring the attention of visitors, logistical support for tourist experiences and strengthening local cultural activities.
• General community support: collaboration in everyday tasks that contribute to the functioning of the space.
What we expect from volunteers
• Interested in conservation and life in rural environments.
• Good disposition for team work.
• Respect for community and environmental standards.
• Ability to adapt to basic conditions (climate, limited connectivity, etc.).
