  Description

  Our main goal is to protect our property and the surrounding natural environment from future fires, cultivate native species, and actively improve the soil to restore its former fertility and water retention capacity.
  
  Through soil improvement, water management, native planting, and biodiversity monitoring, we are creating a resilient forest garden that provides habitat and reduces the risk of fire.
  
  To make it possible for us to live here, we’ve already invested in the necessary infrastructure over the past three years, and we’re thrilled to be able to live in the midst of nature. Since we launched our project in June 2023, volunteers and family members have been coming by regularly to help us with gardening, and forestry.
  
  In this hectic world, we’ve found a lifestyle that feels right for us: an independent, vibrant, productive, regenerative, and adaptable home—close to nature and self-determined.
  
  We love to share our calm place in the nature of central Portugal. In summer the river beach invites with his beauty.

  You can gain deep insides in wildfire counter measurements, agro forestry, offgrid installations, gardening, landscape.
  
  We have backgrounds in Electrical engineering, Ayurveda Massage/Nutrition and Permacultur. We LOVE food and delicious dishes :)
  
  We learn a lot about and from our Land everyday and would be happy to share and learn with you.
  
  Our Property has a Creek and a River Beach, both are beautiful to swim and cool down.
  
  For the time being we don't have a lot selfgrown Food but we try our best to source it locally and organic.
  
  In Spring and summer time nearby Sangemil offers a natural Termalpool. Just around us are a few hiking trails. Sierra de Estrella and Caramulo are always nice to visit. If you like the cities, we are near Viseu and Coimbra. Even the Sea is only 1h away... And for the Times that you don't want to move far, we always like to create nice and cozy places to relax and connect with nature in your own way.

  Aide

  Be a part of creating a food forest and building up little infrastructures.
  
  We work closely with national suppliers for the bigger projects like our A-Frame and Yurt. These projects are always a great opportunity to learn about woodwork, water grid and the general planning according to permaculture principles and fire protection.
  
  There's always a opportunity to do some light gardening (General Care, New beds and a soon to come foodforest) and landscaping with us.
  
  Even if you feel like you're not a "handy person " you are still very welcome to join us, learn, teach and support us with our daily tasks.
